“We had an amazing time in Sri Lanka. Lotte designed a fabulous itinerary and included many aspects that she identified through talking to us about our interests...for example adding a cooking class and train ride were real highlights. All the admin was completely smooth and we had a fantastic local guide (Jayan) for the duration of the trip. He took time to take us 'off piste' when we expressed an interest in something so we did surprising extras like unexpectedly visiting an Elephant orphanage and gifting us a home made jar of blended spices. The accommodation was fabulous - 9 Skies (former Tea Plantation manager's house) would be one of the best boutique hotels we have ever stayed in and coupled with a more traditional time in a resort this made it a really great holiday. Though we did not need assistance on the trip, Chanelle and the concierge team were always available and that is a useful backup. I would happily recommend Lotte and Wayfairer to any client who would want a truly bespoke holiday experience. Well done Wayfairer - we will be back!”

“I was able to enjoy a safari in Kenya thanks to Wayfairer's excellent work and team. From top to bottom I was impressed with Wayfairer. When I began researching a safari, I reached out to five different travel agencies, but only Wayfairer (Ellie) took the time to call to get to know me and my specific interests. As a result, we built a luxury, rustic, private experience, mostly in my price point. And it was well worth it. The travel, the transfers, the properties, the animals... everything exceeded my expectations. This was my first safari and first time in Africa. I climbed Kilimanjaro and Wayfairer was flexible in helping transfer me back to Nairobi to then transfer to my safari. I stayed at two different conservancies, both offering different perspective on safari, but both were luxury and private, my goal. I was able to spend an hour with a cheetah without other people around, about 10 yards from her. You don't get that from just any safari experience! The travel/guest portal, itinerary, and information provided was highly informative. I am a big planner, and I knew exactly how this trip would work before I even flew out from home. And it worked perfectly. Airport car transfers, domestic kenya flights, pick ups by the safari company, transfers and game drives, food, lodging, everything worked as advertised. Which is saying something, there were a lot of moving parts. I never felt like I didn't have safety, knowledge, and an understanding of what I was doing and where I was during the entire trip. Peach was on point in answer my questions in advance when I needed additional details (like flights) to get my visas done. The team was responsive and eager to assist, friendly and professional in their calls and emails. The properties themselves were gorgeous and matched their photos. The experiences were as promised (night under the stars during fly camping is worth price of admission in my book), and I saw all big five and tons more (like hippo, hyena, jackals, etc). With the private tour that was booked, I moved at my speed, which involved asking a thousand questions of the guides, or just being quiet and spending an hour with the cheetah. We did a walking safari and learned about tracking. I got to hold elephant dung (was not on the 2025 bucket list!). Overall, 10/10 experience. I've already started poking around where my next adventure might be! And I feel confident that I would book with Wayfairer again for my next tailor-made adventure. Thanks Wayfairer team!”

“Wayfairer made this trip the success that it was. Eleanor and Toon were so helpful from the moment I made my first call. Everything was put together the way I wanted it and I am very particular. They answered all my questions helped me to decide certain things and helped me through a few bumps and changes along the way with no hesitation. Eleanor was very knowledgeable and her input was so valuable. Toon took over later in and helped with all my bumps. I am very grateful for all their help and so happy I entrusted them with my trip of a lifetime.”

“Wayfairer curated the perfect safari for our family. We were celebrating a special birthday and an anniversary, and they made sure we felt special throughout the trip. Transfers were seamless, everyone we dealt with was cheerful and simply could not do enough for us. We were a party of six, two grandparents, two parents and two teenage boys, and almost all our activities were 'private,' meaning just the six of us in a land cruiser, or dining, or just about anything we did. Only on the balloon ride over the Serengeti did we share conveyance! Of course, we saw tons of animals, including the 'big five.' What we weren't ready for was how close we got to these large, wild and potentially lethal animals. It was truly astounding. I know most everyone returns home from a safari, or river rafting trip, etc., claiming they had the best guide one can imagine. We, of course, are no exception! our guides were friendly, knowledgeable, cheerful, helpful, solicitous, ... Did I miss anything? I think what I appreciate most was how smoothly everything went. We never had to worry or wonder what was happening next, or who was taking us where. Everything was beautifully planned and executed. We could not have been more pleased!”

“We had an excellent safari to Kenya organised by Kate at Wayfairer. We had limited knowledge of Kenya so Kate recommended three different wilderness landscapes to see varying wildlife and the recommendations to visit Amboseli, Samburu and the Mara/Naboisho were perfect. We had spectacular wildlife viewing at all three particularly a pride of 19 lions in Naboisho! The Saruni Basecamp lodges were fabulous and 75% of the costs support the local community and conservancy. The guides, accommodation, food, staff, were all excellent. I would definitely recommend Wayfairer (and Saruni) and plan to use them again. Thank you also to Dalia in the concierge team who ensured everything went smoothly.”

“Wayfarier did an excellent job of planning the trip with me. They customized the entire experience. I have a family of 5 and it went really well. Each of my kids loved Japan. Each person that we did a tour with or spent the day with was very kind to my family and very knowledgable about what we were doing in Japan and plenty of history to give us along way also. “I was pleased and thankful to explore Madagascar through Wayfairer Travel! I will book with them again for multiple reasons: 1) I was able to customize my tour having my vacation be exactly what I want! 2) Quality resources, while their package is often pricier than others, it truly is great and luxury quality. While traveling through Madagascar for two weeks, I was very aware of third world limitations, however unlike many travelers I met along the way, my jeep never broke down, my guide never got lost, my food was always safe to eat… 3) My local guides were amazing! They truly work with the best local operators! 4) safety, as a solo female traveler I felt safe and looked after the entire trip! 5) I was able to explore the wonders of Magical Madagascar while also feeling comfortable. Check out Madagascar, the beaches are awesome, but also take time to see the amazing animals and spectacular landscapes!”
