I was able to enjoy a safari in Kenya thanks to Wayfairer's excellent work and team. From top to bottom I was impressed with Wayfairer. When I began researching a safari, I reached out to five different travel agencies, but only Wayfairer (Ellie) took the time to call to get to know me and my specific interests. As a result, we built a luxury, rustic, private experience, mostly in my price point. And it was well worth it. The travel, the transfers, the properties, the animals... everything exceeded my expectations. This was my first safari and first time in Africa. I climbed Kilimanjaro and Wayfairer was flexible in helping transfer me back to Nairobi to then transfer to my safari. I stayed at two different conservancies, both offering different perspective on safari, but both were luxury and private, my goal. I was able to spend an hour with a cheetah without other people around, about 10 yards from her. You don't get that from just any safari experience! The travel/guest portal, itinerary, and information provided was highly informative. I am a big planner, and I knew exactly how this trip would work before I even flew out from home. And it worked perfectly. Airport car transfers, domestic kenya flights, pick ups by the safari company, transfers and game drives, food, lodging, everything worked as advertised. Which is saying something, there were a lot of moving parts. I never felt like I didn't have safety, knowledge, and an understanding of what I was doing and where I was during the entire trip. Peach was on point in answer my questions in advance when I needed additional details (like flights) to get my visas done. The team was responsive and eager to assist, friendly and professional in their calls and emails. The properties themselves were gorgeous and matched their photos. The experiences were as promised (night under the stars during fly camping is worth price of admission in my book), and I saw all big five and tons more (like hippo, hyena, jackals, etc). With the private tour that was booked, I moved at my speed, which involved asking a thousand questions of the guides, or just being quiet and spending an hour with the cheetah. We did a walking safari and learned about tracking. I got to hold elephant dung (was not on the 2025 bucket list!). Overall, 10/10 experience. I've already started poking around where my next adventure might be! And I feel confident that I would book with Wayfairer again for my next tailor-made adventure. Thanks Wayfairer team!
