As discussed with our customer service department, the deal you are referring to expired on the 31st December unfortunately and your order was placed after that date. The deals validity period was printed on the deal sheet as per the images that we have already sent to you via email, and this was also only valid while stocks last. We have attached another copy of the deal sheet for your reference where this information is clearly shown within the advert. As a goodwill gesture, our team did offer to send you a free of charge SDS drill bit set to use with your machine which you declined. I have already been in contact with a very polite lady called Emma regarding my purchase, however your policy of not accepting returns which have been used is very disappointing ( how would I know if a tool is not fit for purpose until it has used?)the makita duc 150 is the worst tool I have ever bought and in future I will buy in store rather than online

Our returns policy can be found on our website and we are very transparent that we will accept returns on unwanted within 30 days, as long as the item is unused and in the original packaging. Customers agree to our terms and conditions when they place an order with us. In terms of faulty items, this does work slightly differently depending on the issue and a few other factors, and our customer services team have been discussing this with you via email. Unfortunately I have to say the after purchase support is extremely disappointing. I purchased a DEWALT DCMST561N Strimmer in September 2023. In May 2024 I informed both Dewalt and Toolstore that the product only worked for between 10 and 12 minutes with a 5ah battery. Despite trying this with various different batteries and also running it side by side with a friends unit (which lasted over 25 minutes) I was informed that Dewalt could find no fault. Their test concluded under no load - the senior technician has advised that your string trimmer ran for approximately 15 minutes and would have continued working. I am informed by ToolStore that as the unit was over six months old it is up to me to prove there was a fault when I purchased the item. So I am left with something that is clearly not fit for purpose, might as well have no warranty anyway and a company that offers no support as they do not test products themselves! Beware what you purchase from them as there is no support or warranty of any worth.

Should a customer contact us regarding a faulty item, in most cases our policy is to have the item inspected to determine the nature of the fault in the first instance. This is always done by sending the faulty tool to the relevant manufacturer as they have expertly trained technicians who will thoroughly inspect the items and they are very familiar with the products. Unfortunately in this case, despite the tool being sent to Dewalt and inspected by a senior technician, they were not able to replicate the issues that you have described and the technical team determined that the tool was running as expected. They did explain that the run time is affected by multiple factors, but the tool was ultimately working correctly. As previously discussed with you, if a manufacturer finds no fault with an item, unfortunately we have no further escalation point. As the warranty is provided by them, we have no influence over their testing procedures or what tests they deem to be appropriate for the particular fault that is reported. We are sorry that you are not satisfied with this Andrew.

The order did not arrive. I was at home all the time, but the order did not arrive, after which I received a message - it was not possible to deliver, we immediately return it to the sender. Please sort it out and send my order

We have checked the tracking for this order, and DPD did attempt delivery twice but there was nobody available to accept the parcel, unfortunately. DPD requested further instructions but they never got a reply, so it is standard practice for the goods to be returned to the sender at that point. hi there i,ve tried to email yourselves and the delivery company to try to find out why i haven,t received this item but with no reply. the delivery company said it was delivered and left on a neighbours doorstep.no such parcel has been seen the delivery driver sent a pic of the doorstep but there doesn,t appear to be a parcel there. i would appreciate some correspondence regarding what can be done about this matter. regards shaun rollings.

I haven’t received my order and I haven’t received any correspondence or updates since placing an order. When I asked for a refund and to cancel the order it was ignored and dismissed. Will not be purchasing anything again from this company.

Since then, there have been various emails back and forth with our customer services team. As explained, the item you have ordered from us is marked as a 'direct' product meaning it is shipped directly from the manufacturer, and our website does clearly explain that these items have a longer than usual lead time. We confirmed to you yesterday that your item has been shipped and will arrive in the next 1-2 working days. We would never ignore any communications from a customer and we can see that all of your emails received a reply from us within our opening hours, so we are confused about your comments saying you haven't received any correspondence from us, unfortunately. A member of our team has tried to call you this afternoon and we will also follow up on an email.

I order 2 vacuums on a 2 day lead in. I contacted you after 3 days because they hadn't arrived. I was then informed that the supplier had no stock until October. I needed the vacuums then. Why was the lead in falsely advertised? Why did it take me to call to find out they weren't in stock? On the basis of the above, I will not be using tool store uk again

The product you ordered from us is sent directly from our supplier and is advertised on our website as falling outside of our standard delivery times. On this occasion, our supplier was regrettably out of stock which meant the lead time was indeed longer than usual, but the product is not advertised as being available on a 2 day lead time as it is shipped from the manufacturer so falls under their delivery timeframes. Once again we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, and thank you for the feedback.

I understand that a member of our customer services team has already discussed this with you last week and confirmed that unfortunately, Makita advised us that the item is not supplied with the AC adaptor as standard and these are listed as an optional extra in the user manual. We have since amended our website accordingly to reflect this as we were not aware of this, and our customer services team member has discussed your options with you regarding this matter. You also mention that the goods arrived 4 days late, but we did speak to you about this at the time because you placed your order after our business closed on Friday and you had paid for a Saturday service. Therefore your order was processed on the Monday when we re-opened and the goods were sent on a next day service, and we refunded you for the premium delivery charge that you paid. This was all discussed and agreed via email at the point of us processing your order. Thank you again for the feedback, and for choosing ToolStoreUK.

Morning, Order Nbr. TSUK223309 was delivered on time, however the essential tools for the safe operation of the product is missing. There should be a spanner and hex key to tighten the Dewalt DCS565N Brushless 165 mm Circular Saw should the blade come loose, which it did. This happened when the 18v battery was low and the saw jammed, the saw blade came loose. This is a safety hazard. This product should be supplied with those essentials to keep it operational and safe. I await to hear from you. Regards, HaiSan

Received a defective generator. From the moment I contacted ToolStoreUK I felt their customer service was inadequate. The onus was put back on me to sort problem with the supplier. Problem was sorted by Stephills but no further communication from ToolStoreUK. Will never by another product from ToolStoreUK and would not recommend to anyone.

Where a customer reports an issue or fault with an item, we usually need to inspect the goods in the first instance in order to determine the nature of the fault as detailed in our terms and conditions. Due to the type of product that you had ordered from us, unfortunately this needed to be inspected by the manufacturer as we have no facilities on site to complete an inspection in house. I understand that this matter was resolved within a few days of the issue being reported to us. We re-sent them again yesterday, so you should be able to get the goods dropped at your nearest DPD drop off point for return back to us. I'm still waiting for my Makita tool boxes, We left a note on our front door for the courier to put the parcel over our double wooden gates, for some reason they didn't. I'm sorry but I work full time

Good afternoon Paul, Thank you for the review. We emailed you on the 28/02 to advise that the delivery was on its way back after 2 failed delivery attempts. We credited the value back to your payment method that day. The only instance that DPD can leave a parcel in a safe place, is if it is requested via the app or with the tracking emailed. You can also choose to change the delivery address to any address of your choice, or even a drop shop if its not convenient to be delivered when DPD have stated. We do still have stock available if you wish to re-order, and we hope that this will not deter you from purchasing with us again in future Kind regards

Unfortunately the item that you ordered from us was the last one we were showing in stock, and our team couldn't locate it when we were preparing your order for dispatch, meaning we had to regrettably cancel the order and issue you with a full refund. As the order was placed on Boxing Day which is a bank holiday, we were only able to notify you of this on the 28th when we re-opened, as we were closed for the Christmas break. We are genuinely sorry for any inconvenience caused, we notified you as soon as we were aware of the issue when our team was back in the building.
