“Ordered gloves during the 50% off sale. The item was too small so requested a replacement in the next size. Was told size was out of stock. Sale ended but the size was available on the website. Was refunded my money. Clearly didn’t want to replace at the sale price.”

“Leider entspricht die empfohlene Größe L bei den gekauften MTB Socken nicht einer Größe 43. Habe es dann mit Unterstrümpfen versucht aber alles nicht zufriedenstellend. Schade.”

“Ordered the heated waterproof gloves. The good - they are waterproof. The bad- can only feel the heat on the highest setting. Ordered the extra-large, but they feel a couple sizes smaller, like whoever designed them, never tried on a pair. They could be a bit longer, to fit better under a jacket. A waterproof glove is only as good as the jacket you're wearing. Definitely not worth the money. Companies like you, should use guys like me, for product development and test and validation. I'm on my bike for over 1000 hours a year, all outside, in Canada, I know what works and what doesn't.”

“according to your size guide my medium gloves should have been slightly too large , however they were very definatley too small. Having now recieved the large size they are way too large and for £80 I would hope to have some good fitting gloves . I look forward to some compensation for ill fitting gloves”

“Being still summer I have yet to find out how effective the gloves are. However, I have some concerns with their fitting. I have wide palms with short fingers. I have no complaints as regards the glove finger being over long - that is my anatomy. But this pair (the third pair I tried, this is the XL size) is still tight around the thumb and palm area. I suspect the manufacturer uses a slim hand as their model (do we in the UK have wider palms than the Chinese?). I will keep the gloves anyway because pairs of fingers will be warmer than single fingers.”

“I bought these socks before going to Iceland on a moto trip and I was very disapointed. They were not water proof and had wet feet everyday from just ankle deep rivers. I really thought these were going to be amazing based on the price.”

“I am disappointed only because the size guide is incorrect. The gloves are too small and it is too hard to send it back. I checked it again after buying them and my measurements were correct. You have to buy one size up. I haven't used them yet and probably should send them back and ask for a larger size but have procrastinated because of the process.”

“I bought a waterproof sealskinz cap as I thought it would be high quality, but after wearing it just for one day the metal clasp on the back of the hat to adjust the size cane off! Not impressed.”

“They did not repel any water! I used them on a canoe trip and get completely wet within the first hr and did not dry. Spent the next 8hrs with wet and cold hands.”

“Der Artikel kam bereits defekt an. Der Verschluss zum Verstellen der Weite funktionierte nicht und löste sich sofort aus seiner Verankerung. Musste das Band zum Verstellen der Sweaters von Hand annähen.”

“As I wrote to your support: good product, but I don't aware to pay taxes and custom fees' extra, because the site where I ordered was "sealskins.de", so I think, I order in Germany (re "de"). In reality its a GB site, but you get this circumstance first when you have to pay the taxes. That is unfair - so only 2 stars”

“I would simply work on improving the product. The beanie hats are similar to cloth-lined wearing diapers on your head and make a lot of noise. This could be an issue if one were in certain dangerous areas like high traffic, etc. while walking, biking, etc. The socks are a lot better than the beanie, but the exterior material holds a lot of water (like the beanie material) making it heavy, saturating the boot it is in, etc. and it takes an incredibly long amount of time to dry and is harder to wring out compared to other cold-weather socks of comparable thickness. Also, heavy rain can still trickle down through the top, even with the silicone liner and, if exposed, as I said before, the sock saturates very quickly, is very hard to wring out, and takes an extremely long time to dry.”

Thank you for your review. Our Waterproof hats and Beanies contain an internal waterproof membrane and this is designed to be 'Floating and not laminated to the layers to allow the hats to offer a good amount of stretch for a good, close fit. The hats can have a slight rustle when new but this softens through use and generally is not as noticeable once the hats are being worn. Our Waterproof socks also work through the use of an internal waterproof membrane which prevents water from passing through the outer fabric layer to the inside of the socks. This means the outside layer will get wet, but the membrane will prevent the water from passing through to your feet. The cuffs of the socks are open to allow the legs to be placed inside and they are unable to provide a watertight seal or a vacuum to prevent water run in. The Hydrostop band helps reduce the amount of water that can enter but the cuffs should be covered in the wet to ensure water is not able to freely run down inside- once inside the membrane will trap the water. The internal membrane is delicate and we recommend not wringing or twisting the socks at any time to ensure this is not damaged and torn. To dry, blotting the socks can help remove excess water. “I was only able to use them one time. I was happy with their waterproof feature, but highly displeased with the quality. One of the gloves snagged and basically unraveled at the finger. I wish I hadn't thrown them away so as to attach a photo of the hole.”

“Reasonable product, warm and waterproof. However sizing is rubbish. I ordered a size large hoping to have some extra room or ‘flop’. Instead my hat is quite tight and I have a ‘normal’ sized head.”
