“Allegedly waterproof cycling gloves ???… first ride out after purchase in steady showers … hands stayed dry for approximately one hour… thereafter they were soaked through and cold !! Sub-optimal performance and now looking for replacements.”

“service great product i'm afraid unsuccessful after a few weeks both pairs of socks have holes in the sole really happy to send a photo. socks were lovely and warm I liked them. i dont' want to give low rating on your business it doesn't reflect how I feel when its the product :-)”

“the socks that I purchased seemed to work alright, but after a couple of wearings the cuff seam came un-stitched. the water seal no longer stays in place.”

“While the products arrived in good time and condition, I am unimpressed and actually very disappointed in their performance. My hands and feet are always cold. A friend recommended Sealskinz. Neither the high socks nor the gloves made any difference in warmth, either worn hiking or biking. The high socks have a cuff that rubbed both my calves. At the end of a long, cold day working in Patagonia, Chile I discovered a spot on each leg where a layer of skin had been removed. Four weeks later, they are just about healed but still pretty ugly. The gloves were used for cycling. They retained moisture and made my hands colder both with and without a liner glove. I have not used (nor will I use) the pair of low socks I purchased. Very very disappointing overall.”

Thank you for your review, we are sorry to hear of your disappointment with your socks and gloves. The gloves that you have are All Weather rated and are one of our thinnest and coolest models, are uninsulated and are not designed to provide large amounts of warmth, although they do offer waterproofing and protection. Our Hydrostop models of socks are suitable for wearing for short periods of time only as per our product description as the close contact of the hydrostop band inside the cuffs gripping the skin can cause friction and isn't a breathable part of the sock. If the socks are worn for long or extended periods of time, this constant contact and friction can cause irritation. “I bought the waterproof socks for ice baths as my feet do not do well when submerged. The socks work for approx 2 minutes before leaking. Still better than nothing”

Thank you for your review of our socks. Our waterproof socks are constructed as a three-layer product, they have an outer layer that can get wet (this will absorb water), an inner layer, and a waterproof membrane sandwiched in between. It is this membrane that provides a barrier to water passing through the outer layer and into the socks and keeps your hands and feet dry. All of our waterproof socks will keep water out up to the sewn level of the cuff (this can be seen if the socks are turned down). If they are immersed in water above this level, they will become wet. It helps to think of them as functioning in the same way as a Wellington/gumboot- waterproof up to the cuff but water can run inside through the leg opening/cuff as they cannot provide a watertight seal. This does mean that the socks can be worn in bodies of water provided the water is not allowed to splash or run into the cuffs. Unfortunately, our waterproof socks are not suitable for bathing, showering, swimming, or activities where the water level is likely to be over the top of the sock cuff or where the entire sock would be fully immersed in water as once water enters the sock, it will become trapped inside until physically emptied out again.

“I’m not sorter happy. These gloves have only been used a few times and the leather is already worn out. A piece actually ripped. I just wore them skiing… I tried ti get a replacement but the company wouldn’t. They did end up giving me a small amount back but for how much I paid, I was very disappointed. I will probably not buy from them again. The gloves don’t last normal wear. I seriously wasn’t being rough and I won’t be able to wear them next season.”

Thank you for your review. The palms of our leather gloves can be marked, scuffed, and pulled if they encounter rough, harsh or abrasive surfaces or larger amounts of repeated friction. This is typical for leather, however, the issues will generally be cosmetic and the appearance or rough surfaces can be improved by cleaning and conditioning the leather. In this instance, as the issues were cosmetic affecting the surface of the leather and not affecting use or waterproofness, the team arranged a partial refund as a Goodwill gesture. The gloves are still covered by the warranty and guarantee and in the event that a fault develops in the product in the future, a warranty claim can be submitted as usual.

“I really love your product a lot and whenever I’ve had contact with the service guys it had been great. But since the brexit things aren’t smooth anymore. Goods need to go through customs and it takes for ever getting things shipped. Once I was asked to clear a package. Brexit sucks!”

“You delivered the correct items but they were the wrong sizes from what I had ordered. I passed these on as Christmas gifts to family members to save the hassle of trying to return them in the run-up to Christmas and during a postal strike.”

“Gloves fit great but do not keep hands warm on a 20 degree day. No way to incorporate hot hands. Fit and finish are nice. Just not worth the higher cost.”

“Man!, do I wish I would have loved my new gloves... I have owned nearly every brand and sort of glove for cycling, hunting, skiing, working, etc... and thought earnestly that these, being at the very minimum a Higher end sealskinz product -- That with or without battery, They'd be warm, or in the least keep hands ambient in the shoulder season. Here is what I found: These powered gloves fit perfectly, and they wear well around a handlebar, or in the hoods. These gloves are a bit tough to get on and off owing to a bulky battery compartment where a grabber would be in many gloves, and hence, One should be careful pulling from the power bank. These gloves are dry, or at least they have remained dry in some sprinkles, and snows, thus far. These electric gloves state that they are insulated with Primaloft Insulation. The gloves I received are not only desperately under-insulated on the palm and working side of the fingers, but they are frigid, (cold) and completely ineffective to keep hands warm in even the most moderate of autumn days. With or Without the voltage set to max, the fingers remain cold. Really Cold!...? Really Really Cold, as if there is no insulation whatsoever. I understand that these are build with heat tape in the finger tops, and not on the business side, but they have literally no noticable insulation whatsoever on the business side, and no amount of voltage can warm cold fingers touching cold surfaces. NONE! I have never been this disappointed in what is seemingly a well-reviewed product. So it goes that I have gloves in even moderate weather, Shall we say 40-32 degrees F., And although they carry the added bulk of electrics, these wires and batteries have no effective benefit whatsoever. The fingers get cold, remain cold and cannot be warmed by electric tape on the back, because the front has NO insulation to note. These Electric Gloves are not warm whatsoever and have no intrinsic benefit neither by their own Primaloft nor by Electric heating.”

“I purchased waterproof socks. I have found them not to be waterproof!! Wanted them.to keep feet dry whilst walking my dog across grass fields. Still got damp/wet feet. Unable to return as refund policy states they have to be un worn. Not sure how I find out of they work if I haven't tried them. Very disappointed with a expensive purchase.”

“The balaclava itself, in theory, looks, material, and craftsmanship: is outstanding! But it’s so huge around the face that I can’t even wear it. I attempted to stitch it tighter and “cinched” up the hood part, but it just makes it way to bulky. Wish I had bought the smallest size you offer, but how was I to know…..in the photo below, the black spandex part is only tight on my nose because of the way I stitched and modified it. But as you can see, the bottom gray part and around the hood is still sooo huge.”
