“Beautiful well made traditional bed. Very comfortable mattress Arrived when it said it would and delivered by very polite and friendly guys. The bed is just what we wanted for our Cottage.”

“This is my second purchase from The Original Bed Company. We had our king size bed for 25 years and it still looked great. We’ve just upgraded to a super king and love it. Easy to order and delivery was quicker than expected. Very pleased with the service we received and hope to have another 25 years + with the new bed frame.”

“We are delighted with our new beds. We already owned two of their beds so we knew that the quality was good. Delivery was quick and the beds were really well packed. We chose the mattresses as well as the frames and they look well made and are comfortable.”

“it is a lovely bed, however all 4 of the threaded bars needed to attach the four top balls on each post were faulty, the threads were not straight and therefore were not fit for purpose. I also had an issue that my mattress was marked due to the protective cover having been ripped (maybe in transit?) and obviously something had therefore marked the mattress. I was able to clean it off. I contacted customer service, about both issues, and was asked for pictures. I only had one picture of the wonky threaded bar, which I sent. That was a month ago now and I have heard nothing. What a shame, because otherwise I am a happy customer, it would of been nice to be sent replacement threaded bars which I am now struggling to find.”

“I ordered a double low foot end Hamilton Iron bed in glossy ivory and I absolutely love it. It is well made and so comfortable. There is a choice of hight settings. We tried the higher one first, but then changed it to the lower hight which is better. The bed was easy to assemble. I rang the company for advice on the mattres as I prefer this on the softer side rather than too firm. The juno original was recommended and is perfect for us. I hope to be ordering another iron bed soon for a spare bed and would recommend this company.”

“I ordered a small double Solomon Bed in Glossy Ivory with a Juno Mattress - I can only say the speed of delivery, the ease of assembly and the quality of the products are all excellent. Also very good value for money. Recent reviews are the mattress is super comfy !”

“This is the 3rd bed I've had over the years, they are excellent quality and very reasonably priced! We bought black and i did worry that it would scratch but not had any marks on it so far. Really happy with our purchase.”

“The quick turnround from ordering to delivery was great and somewhat unexpected with beds! We were able to get a suitable bed and mattress so quickly. We were a bit concerned this would lead to a poor quality product, we could not have been more wrong! The bed and mattress arrived in pristine condition, in so much packaging! The quality of both products were excellent, a great experience. We have already recommended The Original Bed Company to our friends.”

“Love my new iron bed. Goes perfectly in my annex room. Love the ranges you have, colour options..and most important the sturdiness of the frame. Plus the underbed storage is a great addition. Easy to order, no problem with delivery and easy to put together.”

“Absolutely love these beds. We have a black one and a pewter one which is fabulous. Love the height options for storage underneath. Worth the wait. Also bought the cotton mattress which is so comfortable.”

“Bed quality good, everything else very poor. Quoted 8-10 weeks delivery, it took 13 weeks and I had to chase 3 times to get a delivery date. Worst of all was the excessive packaging, most of which not recyclable. 3 full bin liners + cardboard boxes and a metal bar, all for 1 single bed. Absolutely no excuse for not using more sustainable/recyclable packaging in 2023, other than company don’t want to pay the extra few pence. Hugely disappointing and inconvenient (had to take it all to the dump as bin men wouldn’t collect it) for such an expensive product.”

“We did quite a bit researching beds before buying and settled on the OBC as a specialist. When a bed was chosen, we were quite unprepared for the overpowering stench of the wool component and it was only upon complaining, that we were informed that this would be the case. How could we have known? To the two locations we'd phoned, no-one answered so we emailed with a follow up of the same a week later. Phoned again and a no-quibble replacement was made which arrived the next week. The wool smell was much reduced and the operative had said in advance that he would handpick the wool filling to ensure this. There seemed to be conflicting advice concerning the periodicity of turning and rotating the mattress, and in the end it was admitted that the precise manner of going it was not so critical.”
