“I found Tartan Blanket Co. through an Instagram ad and thought one of their gift boxes would make for a lovely Christmas present for my parents. Being Scottish they love anything that reminds them of home at Christmas and they were so pleased with their gift box on Christmas Day! Ordering was easy and delivery was quick given how mad things must have been this year! I’d love to have given five stars but took one off as my parents box included someone else’s gift note...must have just been a mix up but still a little disappointing. Apart from that I would absolutely recommend!”

“Dear Tartan Blanket team, First of all, I would like to mention that I absolutely love the products. Everything looks really well made and very soft to the touch. The colours were also a pleasant surprise as they look better in real life than they do in the website pictures. Also, really love the packaging. Very neatly packed and the box they arrived in is really sturdy and provided good protection during shipping. Everything so far is worth at least 5 stars. However, there was one weak point in the whole experience and that was the website and the ordering process at the time of purchase. It looks like it's fixed now but when I placed my order, the pricing in Euro simply wasn't shown on the product page and was only visible during checkout. Moreover, it was impossible to configure a Christmas box because the process got stuck when choosing certain elements of the box such as a pair of socks. For this reason, I can only rate my experience as 4 out of 5 stars. Hopefully, for my next order everything will go smoothly and the overall experience will be better because the products a very good and they deserve to be backed up by a straightforward ordering process as well.”

“Yes we received our orders. I ordered 5 blankets for Christmas gifts for 5 different people and they look wonderful. I was disappointed that they did not each come in their own box. It would have been that much nicer to present each person with their own box.”

“Nice scarves, although I was unable to choose my favourites as they were sold out. It never ceases to amaze me how many companies - presumably well aware of the spike in demand for their products for Xmas gifts - manage to sell out of key lines year after year after year. Forward planning seems to be quite beyond them. Although I like the scarves, I'm a little disappointed with their weight, and expected them to be a little thicker and heavier...they seem quite thin and light.”

“I bought two scarves, as gifts. They have arrived safely, and from what I can see and feel, seem to be soft. I am a little concerned that they appear to be rather small, but will have to send them anyway. I didn’t disturb the gift wrapping tissue, so cannot be certain. You possibly quoted a size which I didn’t read because the pictures made the scarves look quite large.”

“I ordered a king size tartan blanket. Was somewhat disappointed in the quality. It’s a dark blue and green tartan, yet there are white spots on it??? Slub pieces woven in the fabric that you can see. Why are there white pieces in a dark tartan?”

“I love your products but have two concerns: 1. When I ordered on line, I was not given a choice with regard to shipping. I had to accept the rather expensive express air shipping ($25 plus). Yes, it was fast but a lot of money. Later, I found out that you do offer slower service. Please explain. 2. The paper envelope wrapping over the box was all torn and some of the tape had been torn off. You need to tape the paper more thoroughly for overseas shipments, please. Otherwise, so happy to have found you as I LOVE WOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Hello Bonnie Thanks so much for your comments - so lovely to meet a fellow lover of Wool! Thanks for your question about shipping too - recently couriers stopped offering Economy services especially for overseas. This is mainly due to the impact of COVID-19. Couriers rely on space in the hold of passenger flights for their Economy Services, as these flights are greatly reduced, and with additional restrictions due to the pandemic they stopped offering these services. Our system will offer shipping services that are available based on the weight and shipping address, and usually economy services are offered, things have just been a little different recently where couriers have only made Express services available. I hope that explains that side of things more. With regards to the wrapping - really appreciate your feedback. Again until recently we haven't experienced many issues with this, however due to the sheer volume of packages couriers are dealing with, we suspect less care is being given when they are handled. With this in mind your comments are really helpful and we will look at making our packages more robust when shipping. “Found your website a bit difficult to use and couldn't add what I wanted to the box which I was sending to sister and hubby in USA. Eventually I adapted what went in the box. The service was excellent reasonable price to send to USA excellent updates and efficient quick delivery. Sister absolutely loved her blanket mug (would have liked two mugs) and recipe book. Will use again thank you Tartan Blanket Co”

“Ordered 2 knee blankets, quality seems lovely and will make great gifts. Only thing I was a bit disappointed with is that when ordering, in the space that asked for comments/anything else, I had asked for them to please be gift wrapped separately as they are 2 separate gifts. This was not done however, so I'll unfortunately have to unwrap and separate them to re-wrap, which is a bit of a shame!”

“Lovely blankets .. I ordered two knee blankets for sitting outside in our loggia with Christmas cushions and lights .. and I'm going to order more as Christmas gifts to encourage 'lockdown' visits outside! I just wish they were bigger! Which is why 4 stars .”
