Hi Jarret, We're super pleased to hear you're impressed with the quality of the scarves and blankets. I see you've gone for our lambswool versions which are beautifully soft but quite fine but if you're looking for something a little chunkier then check out our new wool versions. - Sam

Sadly I wasn't too happy with this product it looks amazing however the wool is very itchy and it has a strong smell - perhaps dye? I'm not sure

What a shame you weren't too happy. Some wool (including ours) has a smell from the lanolin found in wool. It's perfectly natural and does come out with airing and a wash if necessary. I'd be happy to arrange an exchange or refund if you'd like one ~Rachel

Unfortunately the Blanket Scarf that I ordered wasn't what I expected, it was a good quality item however it wasn't as big as I thought it would be therefore I have sent it back to the Tartan Blanket Co & I am awaiting a correspondence & refund from them at the moment so it's perhaps a little unfair to rate them at this present time

Not exactly happy, but a (temporary?) solution. Wool blankets are needed as a replacement of old ones stolen (long story) but these were not the quality I have in much older ones. Also, my daughter, for whom I bought them, cannot tolerate smells, so every day I have to put them on the washing line and try to eliminate the smell. I fear this will take a very long time, so they will not be used until the 'smell' has gone. I imagine you have better 100% wool blankets, but at a much higher cost.

Hi Jill, Thanks for letting us know. What a shame your daughter can't use it fully just yet. We have tested a wash on these blankets and you can pop them in on a cool wash. Have been awaiting the delivery of my order all day, on checking the tracking of this parcel it says that the parcel has been refused. WHAT NOW? K. Salvesen The parcel has duly arrived today ,all well, the blankets will come into use shortly , hope that they live up to our expectation, thanks. Kathryn Salvesen

The ordering process is generally easy on the Tartan Blanket Co. website. I have yet to receive my order as of yet but I would like to add that I sent an email several days ago asking for a tracking number to no avail. The email that requests this survey states the following: Have you received your goods? Yes - Please write your review by clicking on the link below No - don't panic! It's on it's way. Track your order first, then write your review after it arrives. I am confused that I never received a tracking number, yet it is stated " No - don't panic! It's on it's way. Track your order first, then write your review after it arrives."

Hey David, Good catch - we should probably improve the wording there and I'll get on that today. Not all orders are sent tracked as it's not always possible to track international orders. However, we're still right on schedule for your order, you should receive it within the next couple of days. Fergus

The blanket represents good value and the design is attractive. Only aspect of concern is that the blanket is fairly heavy. A lighter-weight blanket would have been preferable.

Hi Donald, Its really lovely to know that you are please over all with your order. It is a shame though that your blanket is a little thicker and heavier than you would have expected. We think they are super cosy, but if they are to heavy you might like our lambswool blankets. They are beautifully soft and as lambswool is finer, they are a little lighter. We really hope you enjoy using your new blanket, the Gordon tartan is just lovely! ~ Sam

The blanket we received was lovely but not the colour we ordered. As it was a Christmas gift and we had left the order rather late, we gave it anyway and it was very well received. I was just a little disappointed that the original tartan chosen would have complimented the décor. Unfortunately, the one sent did not fit so well.

Oh no! I don't know how that could have happened! Which tartan did you get instead? I think warehouse probably just made a packing error in the busy run up to Christmas. Arrived when expected. Have not inspected as it is a gift for a friend, it was beautifully wrapped so I did not want to open it. Unfortunately it is not as heavy as I thought it would be. Just hope my friend likes it

I'm so glad to hear you're happy with the delivery and our lovely packaging- we do take extra care to make sure they reach you looking beautiful. The lambswool blanket that you ordered is one of our softest, most luxurious wools. We recommend it for getting cosy under or even wearing as cape or shawl, rather than something that is thick and heavy. They're brilliant at keeping you warm because they 100% pure lambswool, but we want to make them light enough that anyone can get cosy under them. If you're looking for something thicker and heavier, but just as warm, our Heritage collection is made of Pure New Wool and so is a wee bit heavier. Let us know if your friend likes her gift, if they're a bit unsure we do operate a 60 day exchange/returns policy so we can swap it over to something else if they want! ~Jayde

Blankets came very quickly and beautifully packaged. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the feel of them. They were not as thick and soft as I had expected. Also, the website description says 'washable as per label'. But the label says 'dry clean ony'. I didn't want to give gifts that require the recipient to spend money cleaning them - dry cleaning can be expensive - so I am returning. Sorry!

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear this! The classic wool blankets you ordered are new wool and recycled wool mix, made outwith the UK specifically for us. This is our range which we believe is durable and long wearing, if you're looking for something a bit more cosy I would recommend our New wool blankets that are made in Wales. As for cleaning, they're machine washable! We pop 'dry clean only' on the label as it's so easy to damage wool if you was it incorrectly. But we've washed them and we're confident that out customers can too! We have all the info on washing our blankets available on our website (http://tartanblanketco.com/pages/care-for-your-blanket) but basically, a cool wash on a delicate cycle will do them just fine. We recommend giving them a wee wash when you get them anyway as it softens them up after their long journey folded up in the post on their way to you! I hope this helps to explain things a wee bit! As you probably know, we have a 60 day returns policy and a freepost label to send them back to us if you do decide you want to return them. ~Jayde

The quality of the blanket is not in question, it is excellent. As was the correspondence, packaging and presentation. However the picture on the website is most definitely not a true reflection of the colouring of the item received.

Its just such a shame to hear that the colours are not quite what you had been expecting. We recently updated all our images of our classic range and we had hoped this had made them more accurate. Its so difficult though to tell colours of items on a website, for example monitor settings are all quite different. This is the reason we offer free returns with in the UK, just incase there is ever an issue.
