“I ordered the tartan blanket scarves to keep warm at my wedding. They were beautiful, so soft and luxurious. The colours were gorgeous. Just what I was after. The company's service was great. They replied promptly to my queries. I needed to get the scarves at short notice and they ensured I received them in time for my wedding. Thank you TBC.”

“What a great company.A superb idea recycling to make these beautiful blankets.I love the muted colours.They are really affordable compared to a new similar blanket.The blankets are also packaged beautifully and would make a great gift.I also love the friendly approach.I would say they are ideally suited as a throw and mine looks good on a cosy armchair.Thanks.”

“One of the blankets,the recyled wool stank of chemicals from the colour dye . It was very strong and flooded our room. Well after hand washing on the wool cycle it's a little better but I really think you guys need to address this chemical issue. Shame it's a love pattern. Had no probs with the other blankets. 7 blankets ordered in all just probs with smell from one. It was so strong.”

Hello Michael Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry to see that you have had concerns over the Recycled Wool Blanket. Our blankets aren't treated so the natural lanolin within the wool is what you can smell. This does disappear with airing. and the blanket can be washed in the machine on a cool wool setting on hand wash. You mentioned that you have done that already so with a bit of airing that natural lanolin smell should fade. When drying your blanket remember that wool shrinks with heat so try not to dry over a radiator or heater. We have a whole care guide for your blanket, which includes all the information you need for washing your blanket on the website. “I bought a tartan blanket scarf for my daughter's birthday present. It arrived, beautifully boxed, and when she opened it she was overjoyed with it. It's lovely, and the embroidery adds the personal touch. Since receiving it, she has worn it on several occasions and friends have commented how pretty it is. We do recommend 'The Tartan Blanket Co. “Arrived in time, box was damaged. Fringes were tangled on blanket, could have made sure blanket was presented more neatly as we opened the box the blanket looked a bit of a mess. One letter of the embroidery is obscured by the strap, which was not the case on the picture of the product.”

“I bought this as a gift from my children to their mum on Mother’s Day. My wife chose it herself to replace an old tartan(ish) blanket that she’s loved draping over her legs whilst sitting on the sofa for many years. We chose to have the three letter embroidery as an extra. The blanket was delivered in less than four days, despite the website advising to add 3-5 days on to normal delivery time due to the embroidery. It arrived in a lovely box and beautifully wrapped inside, meaning my daughters could give their present without any extra gift wrapping. My wife has been absolutely delighted with the blanket; with the quality and feel of it, and she’s particularly happy that it’s a tartan blanket that is actually from Scotland!”

“A lovely blanket, nicely packaged. a bit concerned to see the dry clean only label as the blanket I bought previously had 30 wash on label, however reassured after checking on website and reading that the blankets can be washed on cool wash. Many thanks for prompt delivery.”

“I ordered a knee blanket in dark maple tartan and a blanket scarf in highland green tartan check both as birthday presents for relatives in France. These have been sent off and I am awaiting the reaction, which I am sure will be totally positive. The colours and quality are beautiful and I plan to order a blanket scarf for myself - when you have Buchanan Antique back in stock. The delivery time was excellent - ordered, received and back in the post to France within a few days so well done and many thanks.”

“Hello T B C . I received my beautiful recycled woollen blanket. I am delighted. This is the fourth blanket I have purchased. The others were all gifts for family and were in pure wool, lambswool and in family tartans. Finally I was able to buy one for myself. Not our family tartan but one that looks great in our living room with our old Chesterfield sofas. I chose recycled wool for easier care of my blanket. thanks very much. I hope to be buying more.Ps It was beautifully packaged.”
