“I ordered the Recycled Wool Small Blanket in Shale Munro Check for my husband as an anniversary gift and I could not have been more pleased. The blanket it perfect. Soft and well made, beautifully packaged, and I cannot believe how quickly it made it to us. My husband loves it. We will absolutely be shopping with The Tartan Blanket Co. again.”

“I ordered the Lambswool Wrap in Camel Oversized Check and received it yesterday. The wrap is absolutely beautiful! The lambs wool is very soft. I tend to get itchy with wool and wear long sleeves under. However, with this wrap, I was able to wear it with a sleeveless turtleneck cashmere sweater quite comfortably. The wrap is a richer camel color than it appears on the website. There are black and light blue stripes, making easy to wear with jeans and dresses.The oversize keeps you covered and warm whilst looking quite chic. It is a wonderful and must for a fall winter wardrobe. The price of the wrap is quite fair considering the quality. The delivery was VERY quick. I’m in the USA and it arrived in less than 5 business days. I highly recommend the wrap. THis is just another of many products I’ve ordered from them. I have both wool and cashmere scarves, throw/knee blankets, and bed blankets from them. I intend to continue purchases from this company, as their mission statement is compelling.”

“Ordered and received my blanket pretty quickly. Colour true to how it looks online. My blanket was beautifully boxed and wrapped and the blanket itself does not disappoint. It’s a lovely weight, soft and very warm and snuggly. I bought one of the larger sized blankets and feel the quality is worth the price tag. VERY pleased with my purchase.”

“Bought two recycled wool blankets in the sale to serve as throws for a pair of leather/tweed chairs. They arrived beautifully presented and packaged and I am absolutely delighted with them. They are super quality and look lovely - on the chairs and as single bed covers. I recommend the blankets and the company”

“I bought a pet blanket for my 5 month old puppy. She absolutely loves it! She knew it was for her the minute I pulled it out of the box. She has gnawed on it a few times and there are no holes. Great purchase!”

“I bought a blanket as birthday gift. The blanket is beautiful but what was great, and unexpected, was the customer service! they changed my delivery to the "next day delivery" with no extra charge making sure the blanket arrived promptly before the birthday! Thank you!!”

“I had an issue with my first order (some kind of plastic filament was sticking out), they were excellent with exchanging it. The replacement is great - it's soft and comforting. I had concerns about recycled wool being tough of scratchy ; in this blanket it is not. Would gladly buy again.”

“Smells bad. This blanket smells like petrol. I washed it and it still smells, very off putting! Not very happy about it. Won't be using it! It looks nice, which is a shame.”

Hi there, thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review, and I'm so sorry that you are unhappy with your blanket! What you’re smelling is lanolin (or “wool wax”). It’s a natural oil sheep produce that give their wool that super important waterproofing property. We soak all of our recycled wool in vegetable oil to break it down before washing, but for some woolly blankets, the lanolin scent just happens to hang around a bit longer. Our Recycled Wool can be popped in the washing machine on a cool wool wash at 30c so it might be worth giving this a try if airing doesn't seem to help and this should get things freshened up for you. “Excellent gifts!! My husband and I gave scarfs, blankets and a picnic blanket as gifts this Christmas. What a HIT!! Everyone loved the quality and the company’s story and mission statement.
