I feel a total fool for using this company. I am now in debt for over £1000 and my car is now in a worse state than it was before. I was put under so much pressure to say yes to the work. I was teaching and they kept calling and emailing. Can anybody give me advice of what to do next? Helen Collinge Walton on Thames

This is the worst company in the UK they charged my 100 pound for a service and then 570 ponds for extras I did not need and said they would provide a list of what work has been done videos and pictures I haven't even received a receipt. I have reported them to the ombudsman the garage doesn't have a contact number or email nothing.

Car went in for a service, was called to say brake fluid and pollen filter needs changing and will cost £326. Stupidly I agreed to this but within 5 minutes tried to speak to service stop to no avail, the number they called on goes to voicemail, main number just clears the call, sent a message on live chat to be told someone would respond within 2 days, emailed to ask for a call asap. Called the garage to say don’t do the work. Sent further email to servicing stop to say I may miss a call as I had a meeting but that I would have the recommended work done elsewhere and to return the car end of day as planned. The car never arrived … I missed one call at 3.30 which I attempted to return but same problem as above. Managed to eventually resolve it this morning for the car to be returned this afternoon… I had to get a quote from another garage, that servicing stop added VAT too but was still £120+ cheaper than original quote. The lack of ability to contact someone is appalling.

I would give these a zero if I could. Absolute scam artists. Tried to charge me £600 for work that didn’t need doing. Tried to charge me £120 for one tyre. I went to the garage directly and these were £60 each. I tried to ring them back about collecting my car and avoided the phone calls. Luckily the lady at the garage who was dealing with my car. Informed me of everything correctly and stated it only needed 1 new tyre. So what they was trying to charge £600 for cost £60. Avoid at all costs!!

I have been trying to contact servicing stop for weeks. Their telephone number directs you straight to live chat / sending an email. I have attempted both with no success. I had my car serviced and MOT'd October 2023. Half way through the service a representative called me to advise they would need to complete additional tasks in order to comply with my Kia Warranty. The gentleman sounded confident and knowledgable about Kia warranty so i agreed of course. Fast forward to today (25th March 2024). My kia broke down last weekend had to be towed to the dealership. They pulled up my service history and could not see Servicing stops Service completed. Nor in my service book had it been noted that Kia parts had been used ( filters etc) which is a requirement to keep the Warranty valid. I currently face a hefty bill for a potential new engine with the warranty being questioned on validity. I need to obtain the parts numbers used and the grade of oil used in the oil change. None of this was provided at the time. And seemingly now i cannot contact servicing stop to obtain this information

I never use this company again. Their nominated charge charged me about £1700 for the service and additional work but when the car was delivered to me there was not a drop of engine oil in it. Their system of not “telephone contact” is preventing you to get anywhere with them. Their Email system is very confusing and useless. It should be avoided. A. Jahanbakhsh

Horrendous company. Please avoid! I booked my car in with servicing stop over the internet last week. They came as arranged to collect the car at 10 am on Thursday promising to return the car between 4and 6pm. I had a missed cal from them at 2.30pm. Tried over 15 times ti get through with no success. No idea why they we are ringing as they didn’t leave a message. 6 pm came and went. No car. I rang to find out where my car was to find the call centre closed. No out of hours number or voicemail facility. I emailed demanding the know where my car was. Received an autoresponse stating that they aim to get back to you within 48hours. No good!! At 6.47pm I received an email from someone called Jason stating I had declined to have my brake fluid replaced. I had done no such thing. The email stated that I needed to pay £98 to have my car released. What good is an email after I can’t contact them? I had no choice but wait till morning. In tej meantime I googled reviews ti find servicing stop has featured on Rip off Britain and watchdog. Check it out! In the morning I rang to be told they had ‘ run out of drivers’ the previous evening and would I be returning my car today By this time I was late for work and stressed thinking my car had been stolen. Luckily they didn’t mention the £98. I was furious that no one had let me know what was going on. They returned my car shortly afterwards. No apology. No acknowledgement of any wrong doing. I was furious that they kept my car overnight with no warning. I was late for work too. Luckily there seems to be no harm done which I’m grateful for. After reading reviews it appears that the brake fluid quote is a scam they try often. £98 is almost double what it actually costs for such work too. I was never going to pay it anyway. Please don’t use this company they are con artists.

…SCAM COMPANY On the 26th February had a Full service done on my car that's what I thought. Had a phone call to say everything went well but had a few advisory's. Paid extra to get them fixed. I had a mechanic look at my car today and the extra's weren't done but I paid for them. The annoying thing is that you cannot speak to anyone on the phone. Had to make a complaint but a reply take 5-7 days. I will never use Service Stop ever again. Booking Ref: 1641874 one star is too much

Really don’t bother booking through these people. In all fairness the picking up of the car was prompt and friendly, same as the return but that’s the only positive. Received a phone call from an 020 number in the afternoon and was told by a friendly sounding guy I needed extra work doing. He rattled off a few sums quickly and said I would need to pay an extra £450. Told him I couldn’t afford it and not to bother . Then I pressured into believing the brake fluid needed doing and that would only be £165 and I could pay in instalments. I agreed and he said he would put me on hold and send me a link and I should fill out the form. While I waited I googled how much to replace brake fluid and reputable firms charge £49.99. He then came back and said he would watch online while I filled the form out. I told him just to bring my car back as I didn’t want it doing and he just hung up on me. I tried ringing back , nothing , rang the mobile number they called me on to confirm car collection and got their call centre . Luckily I paid upfront so the name of the garage was on that. I called them and they said car was fine and they would be returning it at the agreed time, no works needed. This company is all about the hard sell, conning you into paying for work that isn’t necessary or actually done to your car. They can hold your car to ransom and bully you into paying more . Give them a wide berth

My car booked in for service and MOT. Was phoned and told I needed £800 of additional work. I refused to have the brakes done but did pay for other stuff. I am not convinced work was done. I was over charged. I was told that if I wanted the car back that day I needed to post a positive review. When car was returned MOT certificate didn't mention the brakes as an advisory issue so clearly I do not need new brakes. The garage had over inflated my tyres so the tyre pressure warning light was on. It has left a bad taste in my mouth. Wish I had looked at reviews first. Only used them because I needed my MOT urgently

MY SAGA of not checking the reviews before ordering things!!!!!!!!!! Now I live in a small rural village Near Kettering Northamptonshire and since my car, a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is no longer covered by Local Garages, I googled "Local PHEV Servicing Garages". Google suggested I try Servicing Stop as a Booking Firm. Their Website requested my Car Registration Number and correctly identified my make and model being an EV. They Quoted for both Interim and Full Service and as an extra option also a MOT. I opted for the Full Package of Service with MOT and being a disabled pensioner was pleased to accept that the "Local Garage" would arrange collection and delivery on the agreed day. Now here is the first problem. The Garage that does the work is not disclosed until after you pay and a confirmation email sent. The allocated garage for mine was in RUGBY Leicestershire. 50 miles away! Not exactly local! But the booking firm state in the small print that any cancellation will result in a charge? So the CATCH is as follows. The Booking Firm takes the money. The allocated garage puts the car on the ramp and does some quick checks to fill in the Tick Boxes in accordance with the "Interim or FULL service agreement. There is a clause that states there could be additional charges for "Special Oil" (low ash would be regarded as special). The garage will then continue to do the MOT test if that is required? Once the exercise has been completed by the Garage they send the results off to the Booking Firm. The Booking Firm then get High Pressure Sales to ring the MARK (that's you) and nicely tell you that you car has/has not passed the MOT however "as per the contract" there are extra charges, ALWAYS because of the oil clause. Now for the clever bit, "we also have some ADVISORY notices that we recommend be done now whilst the car is in the workshop"! These will be worded carefully according to the well used script. In my case "a car of this age should have 1) brake fluid replaced. 2) anti freeze replaced 3) a full engine flush etc, plus any other options they can think up. Now comes the RANSOM bit! Depending on how you hold out they send an email with a payment link to pay for the extras, and there are always at least one extra because of the oil! The link includes a short warning that any delay in payment may affect the timed return of the car (held until the funds are in their account). Back to me having refused all but the "special oil" I waited the return of my car between the agreed CONTRACT time of 4 - 6PM. And waited, and waited etc. By 7:30 I was in a panic as none of the contact numbers were answering. Now the mind goes into every option case from they have crashed and burned on the M1 to it is already dismantled and shipped out. Time to act with a few chosen words to every web site and email address that was available and no they were not complements. So with the new day comes the call from the Booking Firm manager explaining how there was no excuse why the Service Garage had failed to return the car last night and he would get it returned ASAP now. Well 13:20 hrs it arrives. "Nothing to do with me mate I am only a contract driver they called me today" I restrain myself and enquire "have they reset the service light and stamped the book?" Yes all done! I check the dip stick and comment that whilst the level is correct I have no way of checking the quality? All other fluids are where they should be but then again they were before it went anyway. I check my car computer which confirms the collection and delivery mileage and also that 3 gallons of fuel has been consumed. Further checks of the on board computer show that whilst the Service Warning Light has been reset none of the other settings have been reprogrammed. My Dashboard Display keeps telling me that a Service will be required in 400 miles!!!! The paperwork required for my Service History consists of a Tatty Photocopy of an MOT certificate and some emailed PDF files listing the car as a Petrol Outlander and no mention of any EV checks or testing? Gutted.

I booked my car service online and the car was picked up by a friendly mechanic at about 8 . Everything was going as planned, then around 130 I recieved a call stating my car need additional extras . I was then told my car needs new anti freeze and they found a contamination in my brake fluid also I need a need fuel pump . After driving and getting my car serviced every year I thought this seemed odd . Then the shock came for all these minor things they wanted £887 for the works . I stated all I wanted was a service priced at £136 then I was told I should get £650 pounds worth of work done . I stated I wasn't willing to pay theae costs , and I was told there is a payment plan they can set up for this . I had a really bad feeling and said no thank you .After the call I received texts for £650 to pay in instalments for the works that I declined . I was trying to call the number they called me on, and it was constantly engaged and also sent a email to customer services with no reply . The mechanic that took my car left his sign written van on the drive , so I decided to give the number a call . I called and stated who I was and that they had my vehicle and I wasn't happy for them to carry out any works . The mechanic seemed very confused saying that the car only needed a service and there was nothing wrong with the car and the bits they are are mentioning are new problems he does not know about . Feeling annoyed and partly happy I didn't just pay I awaited a call from service stop . 5 Minutes after speaking to the mechanic they call . I stated I didn't want the work they mentioned doing and wasn't happy with the service there providing me with .I was then cut short by the guy as he stated he sent me a payment to pay for the service assuming the costs where going to be £136 we ended to call so I could pay and get this shambles of a company outta my hair . I opened the invoice and then noticed its now gone to £220 a huge jump from the initial price . I payed this and within the hour my car was delivered back to me . Absolute scamming assholes . please people don't use these your regret every minuite .😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Firstly my service and MOT was delayed by 3 days, informed on day it was due to be collected. Then car was collected very late midday in fact. Then car garage would not release car until service stop had paid them, with them adding on a hidden fee at the end even though I had paid in advance. To top it all off, by the time I had actually managed to get ahold of customer services, the garage had closed leaving me with no car to get to work. I''ve never been so angry with a service in my life. DO NOT use this company.
