“I am a really disgusted customer. I have been waiting 3 weeks for a simple pair of reading glasses. The original prescription was of no use. This has been very poor for a pensioner who has recently had 2 cataract operations. I was going to recommend you to a friend, but shall not do so now.”

“Having dealt with an eye test, then solving frame suitability, my prescription was paid for and started, on two sets of specs - one rimless (my own) and one sports glasses. A week later I developed sudden double vision. After a series of visits to A&E, eye casualty and then an NHS Optometrist to prescribe prisms for temporary double vision correction, it was clear the week old order for eye lenses was going to have to be changed. Popped into Scrivens, Waterlooville each day, to keep them updated with the developing problem with my eyes and the information the NHS professionals were providing. In the end Belinda's team agreed not just to suspend the prescription order, but to cancel it and offer ed a full refund so that a fresh test could be carried out once the double vision issue had been resolved permanently. So impressed by the empathy and understanding shown by Belinda, the manager, and her team.”

“The customer service at Rotherham branch is exceptional, I have been going to scriven since I was 5 years old & they have always done everything they can to help you even when it comes to choosing your glasses, they will tell you which suits you & not try fobbing you off to get more money. Scrivens is the best optician by far.”

“Brilliant service, eye test very thorough and caring, checked, double checked, time was not an issue. The Staff were great, not pushy in any way, and concentrated on you not the profit. I would recommend Scrivens at Malton all day long. Knocks the socks off Specsavers.”

“We used Fishponds Bristol Branch for mums hearing aids. For years she has complained the NHS aids were not helping in fact made things sound worse and she regularly did not wear them. When mum was diagnosed with mild mixed dementia we were told that she should remain sociable and hearing was important, mum did neither and things and so life became challenging for her that was until I went with her to meet with Deepti Rani at Scrivens and then what a difference! Granted we needed to pay for private hearing aids but the difference after two weeks of keeping in her hearing aids mum was brighter, more engaged with life and everyone she met. Her dementia is hardly noticeable now. I highly recommend ensuring hearing is checked regularly and if you can afford it invest in private hearing aids, for mum it brought her back to full engagement with the family. Thank you Deepti.”

“Used the Diss branch for ear wax removal. I would highly commend Franchesca, super professional, great advice, can't fault. Photos of the ear canals taken before and after treatment. Quite satisfying seeing the removed black wax and images of clean ears. Worth every bit of the £60 charge. You can even book in a years time ish for a quick appraisal at no charge if you have been a previous customer.”

“Excellent service. I popped into the Midsomer Norton Branch to enquire about having prescription lenses put into my wrap around motorcycle glasses. Steve talked me through my options and pointed me in the right direction. I received them back two weeks later as he had told me and they’re spot on and I was very happy with the price.”

“The Scrivens staff were all very pleasant and helpful. They explained everything as did the person who conducted the eye test . He was very patient in finding the best prescription, especially for my double vision. The Scrivens staff kindly picked out spectacles which would suit the narrow bridge of my nose and helped me choose a pair. It was well after closing time but no one tried to hurry me.”
