We used Fishponds Bristol Branch for mums hearing aids. For years she has complained the NHS aids were not helping in fact made things sound worse and she regularly did not wear them. When mum was diagnosed with mild mixed dementia we were told that she should remain sociable and hearing was important, mum did neither and things and so life became challenging for her that was until I went with her to meet with Deepti Rani at Scrivens and then what a difference! Granted we needed to pay for private hearing aids but the difference after two weeks of keeping in her hearing aids mum was brighter, more engaged with life and everyone she met. Her dementia is hardly noticeable now. I highly recommend ensuring hearing is checked regularly and if you can afford it invest in private hearing aids, for mum it brought her back to full engagement with the family. Thank you Deepti.
