“I had a fantastic time in the bush with Seed Madagascar, I thoroughly enjoyed the different wildlife transects I carried out plus seeing an amazing variety of wildlife in the process. However some information regarding how Seed Madagascar operates wasn't made clear to me by Pod. This included the fact that Seed Madagascar operates monthly volunteer schemes with a trip at the end of the month. I arrived mid month which meant I did my Berenty trip in the middle of my 4 weeks volunteering. This caused difficulty in settling in as volunteers had already been together 2 weeks and I traveled out alone. It also meant I had extra days at the end of the Seed adventure where I had planned to do the Berenty trip but ended up spending time alone in Fort Dauphin with little to do.”

Hi Jacob, Thanks so much for your 5 star review – it’s fantastic to hear that you enjoyed your time helping the Madagascar Conservation team with their conservation work and research. The team in Madagascar run a 10 week volunteer schedule and typically volunteers join each fortnight so I’m sorry that you were the only volunteer to arrive on your selected start date and I understand that settling into an settled team is often difficult. I’m sorry to hear that your holiday trip to the Berenty lemur wildlife Reserve was rearranged when you arrived in Madagascar. I’m really glad that you enjoyed your volunteer placement and thank you so much for choosing to help support the unique habitats, wildlife and community in Madagascar. “They were really good both before and during the trip providing useful information and support. Everything was really friendly and knowledgeable on the locations and sites I was going to work on. The work we did while on placement was really good and the centre had obviously been carefully choose and had to meet very good standards.”

“Amazing place with amazing people and lovely volunteers. This place is a must for animal and wildlife lovers and I would definitely recommend paying this place a visit and volunteering here. I only did one week and it really wasn't long enough. I will 100 percent be returning and cannot wait to see the animals and staff again.”

“I absolutely loved my time in Nepal, and felt supported by Pod from application process right up until I got home. No question was too small for Bee, and having Janice and the American family in Pokhara meant that I felt at home really quickly. The schools can be a challenging environment, but once you work through the language barrier teaching is such a rewarding experience, and the children are lovely. Nepal is also an incredibly beautiful country. If, like me, you can only make it during the July/ August monsoon season, don't let that put you off - other than leaving a bit of extra time in case of delays, you can still fully enjoy everything Pokhara has to offer. I enjoyed trekking and paragliding on days off.”

“Genuine and non-profitable organisation as it claims to be. I take great comfort in knowing that all profits will go to the animals and the local team's living standards. The animals always come first no matter what and you will meet like-minded people from all over the world that you can remain friends with forever!”

“This is my second time volunteering with POD and their was once again outstanding. They provide a chance to visit some amazing places and provide the opportunity to help the people in those places that need it the most. “The experience I had working on the Elephant Care and Research Project in South Africa was one I will never forget. Working so closely with the elephants was such a special experience that has taught me so much about these beautiful, intelligent creatures. The team at AERU supported me throughout the entire experience and were a fundamental part of such an enjoyable trip that was so good I had to stay longer! The elephants will always be in my heart!”
