“Well tight on pipe had to buy two Mtrs extra didn't find it easy to fix but got round it instuctions not easy to follow but it does stop rubbish blocking the down pipe could do with a fina filter to catch finer debris of the tiles”

“Having moved to a modern house, my wife wanted 'Water Butts' to facilitate watering of plants and conserve water. From past experience we knew that the leaves, moss and etc., which got into the butt from the roof gutter, would block the watering can rose and ultimately finish up as a smelly rotting slurry in the bottom of the butt, which had to be cleared nearly every year. So when we put in our new system we opted for the convenience of your 'Diverter' fitted with the optional 'Fine' filter. This was easy to install and linked to a '190 litre Rainsaver' kit supplied via Anglian Water. As it says in your advertising 'It is very efficient and quick and simple to clean' and I am happy that only the smallest particles of 'Dust' will reach the content of the Butt. All I now need is an insulated jacket to prevent the Butts freezing in winter ? Thank you DWE - IP31 2UJ Thankyou”

“I cannot comment fully yet even tho it is raining - I have installed it, but not at my house. What I found was that there was nothing to support the top half of the downpipe from slipping down. It would be nice if there were some sort of lip for it to sit on. I will need to fit another clip on the top part of the downpipe. Also, the top section of the guttermate does not sit properly as the top of the flat back section hits the wall behind - maybe my downpipe is at a slight angle, and that is stopping it from sitting flush. I am worried that it will flick up and water will be going everywhere. Finally, I have no wish to put a water butt there (there is no room), it is purely to keep the drain into the soakaway from clogging up - I am wondering if the outlet bung will remain in situ. It looks as tho it will rather easily pop out.”

Hi Peter, We’re sorry that you had an unsatisfactory experience on this occasion. Unfortunately in this instance our courier company let us down as they were apparently unable to deliver the parcel due to a road closure, but then failed to notify us that the parcel remained undelivered. This is not acceptable for us either. As a result they are now sending us delivery reports, so we would not expect this to happen again. “Works well. I have fitted the filter screens and so the unit needs to be cleaned out on a weekly basis, or after heavy rain, if your gutters are full of moss etc. as mine currently are. But that is the purpose of the screens, so no complaints.”
