These are con men. Avoid at all costs. After coming round for my initial consultation (2.5 hours late), and claiming to have fixed the problem, the repairman tried to extort me by saying £70 + VAT came to £100. After correcting him, he said he only accepted cash and left claiming he'd email the receipt, which he never did. The problem had not been fixed, so I called up for the repairman to come again, as is part of the service. It took them 16 weeks to acknowledge this request and come again, at which point the repairman found the problem (or so he said). He claimed he needed to enquire about sourcing the new part, so left after trying to take another £70 (although this should have been included as part of the initial failed appointment). 4 weeks later and I've finally been able to get in touch with the company. On the 4 minute call they claimed I (a) never hired them, (b) never paid and (c) had my problem fixed. The second I made a point that I was unimpressed with their service I got the reply, "well go find another company, good bye" and they hung up. This is an absolute farce and I'll be reporting the company for malpractice. As mentioned, avoid at all costs. Hopefully this company will be reprimanded, and the people in charge imprisoned as I'm sure they've stolen money off many more people...

Got a message with a ref no. that I shall receive a confirmation when the booking for repair is arranged. I called the call centre few hours before the engineer due to arrive at the time I requested on line as I haven’t heard from them. Only to be told that they couldn’t make the booking and asked me to find another company. Why was I not notified earlier! No happy with the booking system!

They took our money. I called to ask when the thermostat would be sourced. He told me they can’t find one and to wait three days. I said “I don’t have three days as I don’t have an oven”. He said : that “then find another company” and hung up. Really upsetting.

Unhelpful and rude. After the boy I spoke to failed to get back to me as promised, or to reply to my email, I rang the Appliancenter again next day. The same boy put the phone down on me while I was explaining that I was looking for a combined oven/micro, and not a micro. (That is what he suddenly thought I wanted, despite our previous conversation and my email.) I rang back several times but they didn't answer the 'phone. I rang a different number and spoke with someone else who agreed to look into whether the oven I was considering was the correct size for the space available. He did get back to me but said it was not. I did not trust him and rang several other companies who said that it was. I later bought the same appliance elsewhere and it is now correctly installed. I wonder why their appliance was so much cheaper than other companies'? I wonder about the quality of their appliances. I would not waste my time on them again.

Dont believe their website when it claims ‘free quotations’ they charged an £96 (£80+vat) call out fee when a £400 part-only quotation was declined!!!

Utterly hopeless. Booked an engineer to come and look at the dishwasher in a flat we let, but they canceled the first appointment because the engineer had an 'incident'. Re-booked for 2 days later, but the engineer simply didn't turn up, and didn't phone our tenants or myself to let us know they were not coming. So my tenants had arranged to leave work early and were inconvenienced for nothing. I bit my tongue and didn't complain and tried to reschedule the appointment for a third time. But they now have no times that are convenient to our tenants. So over a week since I booked the initial appointment, we have still have no working dishwasher thanks to North London Appliance Repairs wasting our time. Don't bother with this company, they are useless.

Called for repair and SAM answers and promises to call back but doesn't. SAM sounds a little docile and not all there. Subsequent calls are treated in a similar fashion. Sometime SAM would ask you to hold the line and doesn't come back so clocking up call charges whilst you wait. This went for a week and I eventually gave up.

I don't bother leaving negative reviews anymore as it just doesn't really help but: WOW these people are curt and unhelpful! I have just phoned them to check if someone was coming as it is hard to tell from the text msg whether it's a confirmation or not and I had initially read it as a confirmation (whilst the email read as an acknowledgement of booking only). The guy managing the phones didn't answer the phone with a hello and just hung up whilst i was in mid sentence saying he would call me back as he has just opened the shop. He did call back - again no greeting and then put phone down on me again as I was in mid-sentence. I was not speaking in an aggravated tone at all. It's a bit surprising because we have used these guys before to fix our cooker and things went perfectly well and we made the booking by phone. This time I did it online. Anyway - probably one of those companies where its hit and miss (I just noticed the review figures) but I won't be using again.

I arranged an appointment to fix my cooker hood, the man came round and said it was not repairable. He said he would have someone from the office call me in half an hour to discuss options for a new hood. Nobody called so I rung them about 3 times throughout the following weeks and each time I was told they would call back in 5 minutes but never did. So I paid the call out fee for absolutely nothing & they didn't even have the decency to give me a call as promised.

Disgusting customer service. Booked a job for a Thursday morning, and they didn't get back to me (despite saying they would do so within an hour). On Thursday pm, I called them. They said a manager would call me. Never called back. On Friday they said I could have a slot on Saturday if I called by midday. Called at 11am, refused a Saturday slot. Rude customer service who effectively hung up on me each time. Thoroughly unreliable and rude to go with it. Steer well clear of this lot!

Called up re a Lacanche oven despite having a huge page all about it on the website was told in very abrupt terms that no we don't fix them and no we have no engineers available. Suggest updating the website

Not great. The engineer did not appear to have any knowledge or enthusiasm to fix our fridge. He asked us where the leak was coming from, that is why we called him out! He did not know why the door seal was sticking. He moved the match sticks I stuck on the door seal as a temporary measure to release the vacuum, to a new position and held onto the fridge,(so it would not move) while he invited my wife to try the door. She pointed out he had not fixed it but moved a matchstick! Even though he did not know why the door was sticking, He unblocked the drain hole that I said I thought was the problem, which meant the door opened better as no vacuum being created. I would not recommend!

AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! I used this company for an install of an integrated washer dryer. Their engineer installed the machine. However, he failed to remove one of the safety bolts (the first thing the manual tells you to do). I let the machine run and it started shaking about so much it broke the skirting board underneath. When I called the engineer, he did not know why it was doing this and I got told to call in the morning and he would tell me if and when he could come back. Having researched is the issue online, it sounded like he left a bold on. When we took the washing machine out, it transpired he left a bolt in. He also did not level the machine - it was wobbling from side to side. Surely these are the basic things to check when installing a machine. In the end, when i asked to get my install money back as I had to do it, I got told it was my fault and I should not have taken the machine out. Overall, shockingly back service, poor customer service trying to resolve the matter. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

AVOID!!! Extremely unprofessional. After booking online and expecting a confirmation (as the web site says), it never came. When I called, it was confirmed. When nobody turned up, the tenant called - only to be told that they are sick (?!) of 5-6 people calling them (which is a lie), and they CANCELLED the booking.

Awful.. Avoid at all costs. Booked appointment between 10 and 12. No one ever turned up. When i phoned them, they just said they'd call me back and never did. Total jokers. Avoid

Was really hopeful that I’d finally found someone to fix my Hob but turned out to be too good to be true. Booking was really easy but then I received and email a few hours before the appointment time to say that it was declined as they had no engineer to cover my area for the model of oven. I left a voicemail and email but no response.
