We’ve been helping our customers create beautiful homes with our made-to-measure blinds, curtains, shutters and awnings for over 50 years.

Every new design goes through a rigorous testing process that checks it will meet the demands of the average home. If the fabrics don’t meet our standards, they don’t make it into our range. Only the best performing styles should be in your home. It’s as simple as that!

When you book an in-home appointment, your friendly and knowledgeable local advisor will bring along samples of our full product range for you to have a look at, and they’ll work with you to find the right solution for your space. 2yrs ago bought blinds for my windows which are lovely but one developed a fault which when i phoned up was quickly amended ,then recently had great service again when ordering new curtains for sittingroom,absolutely delighted with them and the professionalism of the gentleman who came to measure and advise me on the material i had picked.10 out of 10,well done.

From the visit of the consultant to installation was very smooth. It is a long wait from confirmation of order to delivery but the wait is certainly worth it. The shutters really enhance my sitting room and would recommend Hillary’s.

Spent nearly £2000 on plantation shutters because Hilary's offered a lifetime guarantee but the shutters have gone faulty and they want a £75 call out fee ☹️

The choice of curtain design was very wide-ranging and Hillary's representative was very helpful in advising how the different colours would work with our existing decor. We chose made-to-measure curtains for a large bay window and a small side window, and the finished curtains were perfect. All the hard work of measuring and subsequent fitting was carried out carefully and professionally and we have been delighted with our new curtains.

Everything was so easy. Fitter turned up on time and measured all the windows while I looked through the various sample catalogue. I chose the blinds I liked and priced them up. The price was fine. We arranged a date for fitting them about 4 weeks away. He turned up on time and with a few hours they were all fitted and looked amazing. I was very happy with the whole process and am happy to recommend.

Awful company. Sells poor quality Venetian blinds that ensure the threading doesn't last long. When it then fails they insist you buy new blinds as they won't repair their products. Shameful! Avoid at all costs.

They are very expensive. When they were first installed the electric blinds didn't stop properly once they had finished going up and down. That was fixed but a few months later one of the panels stopped working entirely. That was fixed as well but now more panels have stopped working and Hillarys want to charge us to fix them. If you spend thousands of pounds they should be reliable and you shouldn't have to keep paying to fix them.

Run an absolute mile. Sophia townsend messaged me yesterday, I was out. I messaged her back, and its now been 24 hours + no response. Electric blinds are stuck halfway, and people can see me and my wife as we sleep. Spent over £2000.00 on blinds for this level of service...… Do not I repeat, do not go with Hillary's if you prioritise good customer service, once you have paid them they really couldn't care less. This is the fourth time we've had issues now, which is fine, things happen to products over time, blinds are no different, but to not respond in a timely manner, is unprofessional.

We order blinds 2 sash and one arch back in Aug 24. 4 days ago 21st Oct I had a call from them telling me they couldn’t make the arched blind.. fitting date is end of November!!!! For an air BAnd B fully booked for December.. I asked if there was any other solution they came up with a roller🤣 absolute joke!!! Then they promised the salesman would rebook another appointment this didn’t happen… honestly this company is a joke I can’t believe they are still in business!!!! I would never recommend. I have to now go to a seamstress to make me Roman blind which to be honest I should have done in the first place as they are more reliable. Never again just want my 1000.00 back

Ours is not a straightforward conservatory. Initially we planned partial shading of the roof area and required blinds for three equal sized oblong panels of maximum length, which precluded using remote operation and relied on using a long pole for opening/closing. The fitting of these blinds went well and looked good. So we extended the roof shading project and ordered a number of pairs of trapezoidal shaped roof blinds, many of different dimensions. That was much less satisfactory: repeated visits for measurements, blinds not manufactured to measurements, blinds that were not delivered when or where scheduled. The fitter did his best, but it was a long and frustrating job over 2-3 months. The company responded promptly to our complaints, and said they would look at a token of compensation but we never heard any more from them. In fairness, we’d say that if you have a straightforward installation of rectangular blinds, within the capability parameters of the blinds, you’ll probably be satisfied, especially if they are vertical window blinds and not roof blinds. The longer roof blinds are very difficult for me to open and close using the rod, but easier for my husband. (I hope he outlives me.) But on a number of occasions the blinds do not go back into their pleats as you close them. The fitter came and adjusted them, which has improved the situation somewhat but we still have to intervene manually quite often to poke them back into their contracted form (not easy when you are working at the height we are). This week, 3 weeks after completion, the ‘jaw’ on one of the poles broke, and we are awaiting a replacement. So though we appreciate that our conservatory represented an installation at the outer extremes of size and difficulty, we can’t wholeheartedly recommend Hilary’s Blinds.

Excellent fitting experience, very efficient and friendly member of the company. One small concern, the cords that raise and lower the blind do seem a little on the thin side, but so far have been fine.
