They charged me £25 when I asked them to cancel the policy very next day I bought it though the Premium start date was after a months date, Complete waste

Someone had hit my car while I was parked in a supermarket carpark. I didn't see who had done it as I was shopping. There was CCTV either side of my car so It would have been easy to see who had hit my car. I must have called GoSkippy at least 15 or 16 times, each time I was given an excuse as to why they haven't obtained the CCTV footage. Six months have now gone by and I was now due to renew my yearly car insurance. I received an email from GoSKippy saying that they haven't been able to get the CCTV footage and they wouldn't be able to renew my insurance, as if I would use this company again. I found GoSkippy very unhelpful and will not be using them again.

I've been misled. I've been told after my payment has been taken that I need to send proof of 5 YEARS NO CLAIMS. As a man approaching 60 I am not able to do this online or any other way. So, besides paying for two payments in a month (One Call and Go Skippy) I'm threatened with costs and cancellation of insurance. I'm not happy at all and feel I've been badly informed from both companies.

Review: Go Skippy Car Insurance ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) Heartless Response During Family Tragedy I recently experienced the devastating loss of both my father and grandfather in quick succession. While dealing with two bereavements and funerals, I understandably missed Go Skippy's renewal emails for my car insurance. When I called to explain my situation, I was met with complete indifference. Their "computer says no" attitude was maintained by THREE different representatives, including their supposed "head of complaints/customer service." None showed any empathy or willingness to help during this difficult time. What I discovered was shocking: - No automatic renewal option (incredibly outdated) - Renewal notifications sent ONLY via email (no phone calls, texts, or postal mail) - A mere 5-day grace period after renewal before automatic cancellation - Refusal to reinstate my previous policy despite exceptional circumstances - Attempted to charge an additional £700 for a new premium Even more concerning was that their "customer service manager" appeared powerless to make any decisions or exceptions. When asked about her actual role and responsibilities, she couldn't even provide an answer! Go Skippy's complete lack of compassion, inflexible policies, and absence of leadership is truly appalling. They've demonstrated they have no interest in supporting loyal customers during difficult times. I strongly advise anyone considering Go Skippy to look elsewhere for their insurance needs. A company that shows such disregard for customers during their most vulnerable moments doesn't deserve your business.

Got to be honest I had insurance with them. And because I hadn’t sent the paperwork they needed. Yet no call or email. They sent straight to debt collectors. Very dirty company. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone

If I could give zero stars I would! Worst insurance company I have had to deal with in 22 years of driving! Going cheap isn’t the best. You get rude staff when you have a customer query, The online portal is so out of date and of poor quality, If you can’t use the portal to change your policy just give the rude staff a call and they will charge you an additional £15 just to talk to them! Absolute scam! They make it unusable for that reason they want to call and take more money. I wouldn’t recommend this company at all.

No policy documents sent and unable to access their portal to view or download documents. On managing to speak to customer serice I was told that policy documents would be e-mailed and a link to access their portal would be sent but none of this was done. Seems to be a scam outfit.

Avoid! I have never experienced such bad customer service! we have our van insured with them and had to call to update an address change and add another driver as this can't be done on the portal. I called and waited 49 minutes until I got through to someone just for them to advise me I had been put through to the wrong department, I let them know I had already waited 49 minutes to get through to them. I asked how long would I now need to wait after they transfer me through to the correct team. they advised it wouldn't be long at all, it has now been 2 HOURS & 22 MINUTES. A total of 3 HOURS & 48 MINUTES... and I am still waiting!

Customer service is terrible and staff where not helpful. your staff clearly do not know what they are doing as they contradicted what was on your website. Will not be using this insurance company again, I would advise anyone thinking of using this company to look at other places. Will definitely have better experience.
