Been with them for 2 years with no problems. Nice and cheap too. However that has now changed. Was buying a new car and looked at insurance prices before purchasing. Go skippy came back cheapest. Great would save me having to shop around at renewal. Get car, change over policy, £35 admin charge for me to do all the work online was a bit excessive but otherwise was painless. Now 2 weeks after getting car and price has doubled!!. No reason why. Smaller engine, not moved, etc and yet they double the cost. Definitely going elsewhere now. Especially as been quoted £300 less than go skippy.

Even though now insured I was given a lower price then when I went back it was higher. Not happy

Tried to get insurance through go skippy directly but the customer service was shocking. Advisors speak to you like they can’t be bothered dealing with you. Had no choice but to go with go skippy because the were the cheapest insurers for what I wanted but it was easier to go through quotezone even if it was more expensive. I will give two stars though because they’re cheap

Had a terrible first experience. When you sign up for Insurance, you have to provide various details (standard practice in every auto insurance) which included selecting your address from a list of addresses on your postcode. After the policy was purchased, door number disappeared from rest of the address on the policy document. When I called customer service to inform this, they tried to charge me £50 to add the door number claiming It will count as amending details. Since I selected the address from the list of addresses on their website, I am at loss to know… how door number did not appear on policy certificate. After to & fro, they eventually added my address for free claiming it to be a favour and still refused to explain how door number disappeared in the first place. My first impression was … they were trying to scam me of £50. I seriously considered cancelling the policy but there was £75 charge for cancellation. All the issues start after policy is purchased and first payment is done. This puts customers in extremely tough spot. Also, customer service agent was unable to explain what breakdown add on covers. Customer service is dreadful. When I asked to raise a complaint, they refused to transfer call to manager and asked me to read terms. I was given wrong email address to raise complaint. I had to look up for details online to raise the complaint. The employee who contacted me after I raised the complaint was much better. However even she claimed there was nothing wrong on their end and she did not know how the door number did not appear on policy certificate. The damage is done & trust in broken. I am just hoping they will not cause issues at later date since policy is 1 year long and there is long list of admin charges they can force upon customer.

Every thing ok but web sile would not let me bye my policy they charged me 20 pounds for haveing to phone them up a bit rubbish

Had a policy with them already, then they came out cheapest on go compare, but wouldn’t match my renewal with the price quoted for a new policy… Had to cancel and take out new policy to get the better price. Bit of a joke really and disappointing…

Was initially quoted a price at 21:00, tried to purchase only to be told that I failed an ID check and that I would need to call the office which was closed until the next morning. Tried to purchase the same quote the following morning only to find that the price had gone up just over £100 and funnily enough I passed the ID check. Apart from this scandalous trick all was ok!

Had problems with payment C's was very hard to understand, don't know even if I can drive the car as not had any documents! There online portal is not very helpful and does not show the starting date of the policy! Unfortunately it was the cheepest policy I could get without a big deposit

Happy with renewal price, but renewal process was stressful, phone lines down and email had a backlog. No online payment option which is a shame!

The process itself was simple and straightforward- the only negative, and it’s a big one, is that I was quoted a price on a comparison website which was the cheapest and by the time I got to make the payment a few minutes later it had gone up by £300 - making it far from the most cost effective provider. I am unlikely to renew with them next year on this basis.

I wasn't very happy with the service as I felt that this company should have given me a better discount as I have 1 year no claim bonus. Due to Covid I have suffered alot of financial hardship and the least they could do is take in their customers considerations.

Your website is about as clear as mud ! I only want to make changes to my policy and was told to do it on line, not very impressed , thought I'd call and do it over the phone to be told that alone costs £50 !!!! I didn't expect it to be free but think that's a bit excessive, so now I've still got to call and get someone to talk me through the web site . Which I'm not looking forward to . Will definitely be looking else where when my policy is up .

Set up insurance through confused.com, goskippy was the cheapest insurance that had courtesy car and windscreen cover so decided to go with them. Once we received the detail the Reg was wrong so called up to change, once they was sorted a lady had told me I couldn’t be insured on the car as I wasn’t the legal owner or registered keeper, she then told me to cancel the car and she wouldn’t insure me, whilst getting quite angry on the phone to me. However after checking I knew I could be insured thankfully I’d spoken with a general men and he had taken off the cancellation charged and changed all the details for me with no hassle
