Waited 16 weeks for sofa and the frame was broken when delivered. Now we need to wait another 16 weeks for it to get made again. No compensation offered.

Undoubtedly the worst customer service I have ever received! Ordered these bedside tables in December, after it was advertised on the website that they would arrive January. After paying for the furniture I then received an email saying they would not arrive until June. After feeling very mislead, and disappointed I spoke to an advisor on the phone who was extremely rude and unhelpful. After waiting 6 months for this furniture to arrive, it then arrived damaged. I again, spoke to an advisor who stated that I would need to wait until September if I wanted the furniture to be replaced. Extremely poor customer service and service products, and I am very disappointed in Barker and Stonehouse. I will not be using them again.

The lamp we ordered was never supplied. After chasing the order I was told that the product could not be located. Very disappointed as it was to match earlier purchases.

I ordered 2 beds, both took a few weeks to arrive, this was known at the time of ordering so not an issue as such. One of them hadn't been made properly and the holes for the bolts weren't long enough, my husband had to tap out the holes to the right length to allow the bolts to go in properly, you did refund 10% for the inconvenience. The other has been an absolute disaster. The first bed we received was so poorly made that we couldn't put it together, you then sent an engineer who also couldn't fix it. as it had taken a few weeks for the appointment, we were then behind in you ordering a replacement. replacement arrives and this time you were able to at least send the fitters, this one was also damaged though it was able to be put together. you sent another technician who couldn't fix the fault with the headboard so eventually you offered us a couple of hundred pounds back. we accepted as at this point I'd taken 4 days off work for the various appointments and weren't prepared to take any more but I really don't feel this was enough. Very poor service throughout and wouldn't use again.

Poor customer service. First delivery wrong item was sent & then replacement arrived damaged. (Driver also turned up 1hour earlier than allocated slot so I had to leave work earlier than arranged, luckily on the day this was possible but meant me having to take more time out of work). I cancelled 3rd delivery as time was inappropriate for me but despite me cancelling it the driver rang me at work to say they would be at my property 5mins later. I was due to go on my lunch from work so could slip out & said I could be there in 15mins but driver refused to wait & said I’d have to re-schedule. Still awaiting 4th attempt of delivery months after making original order & again having to take more time out of work. This is the first time I’ve shopped with you & most likely will not not be using barker & Stone house in the future after this experience.

WARNING ⛔️ Do not purchase any furniture items from this company. We spent a lot of money on a table and sofa and the service has been appalling. The table was delivered to the wrong address TWICE. We paid extra for assisted delivery but the couriers weren’t properly equipped to assemble the table and had to use my tools. They delivered on a wet day and didn’t have any shoe covers to enter the property. But, the best part, the table was damaged! We’ve had to deal with a third party supplier to ‘inspect’ the table who also went to the wrong address and then didn’t turn up at all. Throughout the entire process we’ve had to continually chase B&S for updates. This has been over a 2+ month period and we’re still left with a damaged table. It’s been a terrible experience and is unfortunately still ongoing. (Oh and the sofa was due in 14 weeks - it’s now been nearly 17 weeks and we still don’t have a delivery date). Avoid at all costs!

Ordered this specific garden furniture due to guaranteed delivery in 7 days but it took over 5 weeks. Table top was stained, they sent the wrong furniture cover and it took ages for customer services to respond to my issues and then challenged me by asking how did I know it was the wrong cover - BECAUSE IT DID NOT FIT! They then told me the cover had sold out of the one I needed, but they were sure I could get something to fit it, (I actually ordered the correct one and received the next day - something B&S could have done if they cared), Mixed messages re getting my money back for cover one person said that I had to bring the wrong cover in to the store before they would provide the refund (Holly), stating 'when would we ever give you a refund before receiving the goods back?'. I informed her that Lynne had already told me that I could keep the cover. 'Oh well in that case,,,' Still took several days for somebody to get back to me. Received a call from a delivery driver saying he wanted to deliver some glass, after asking what glass, he eventually explained it was a new tabletop, Came on a big pallet which he would not take back with him and I am left with the original tabletop to get rid of. I did not receive any contact from B&S to say that they had arranged for a replacement. I was eventually given a refund for delivery (which was free) and assembly (£29).

We bought a wardrobe off you and it has a major cosmetic issue where one of the doors does not sit properly. Had someone come out to try and fix but it is still not resolved, given it is a flat pack not sure why you cannot just send a replacement. Note the gap between the door and wardrobe compared to the other one.

We have ordered several pieces of furniture over the last few months and over half of the orders have ether arrived damaged or faulty. It takes a while to get through to Customer Service and even longer to get a reply. Beautiful furniture but really not worth the time or effort it takes to put the order right.

Lovely furniture but endless fault and quality issues. Dining table with scratches. Sofa with a tear and dangerous staples and pins sticking out.

Ordered a vase from you, it arrived completely smashed in very flimsy packaging replacement sent out but it was the wrong size 3rd one also arrived completely smashed again in flimsy packaging. Fed up by now I got my money back gor the vase, but not the postage. Not the sort of experience I expected from Barker and Stonehouse would not shop there again.

Awful. I ordered 2 ornaments and a cushion - all full price and expensive. I waited a month with no communication and when I chased them was then told the ornaments were out of stock and would follow in another month. I asked after the cushion and they said they would send it. They then sent the wrong cushion. I sent it back and they eventually sent the right cushion - it’s fine but nothing special and not worth the money. I then waited another 2 months before they sent one ornament. I contacted to ask where the other one was and they had no idea that the order was wrong - I was told they would send another. It came after a week. In fairness the ornaments are lovely. The shopping experience, however, was dire.

Chairs delivered were of such poor quality, with many dents to frames and chips in paint work that they were returned. No flexibility on collection date as only in my area one day a week, which is always the same day of the week

Returns policy is extremely poor and inflexible. Was bought a large clock as a Christmas gift which sadly was too large for the wall and when we tried to return the item still boxed was told it was outside the return date and we were stuck with it. Still on sale at the store. Very disappointing and has put me off doing any more business with BS.

I bought the lamp online, before it arrived it had been reduced and I sent an email enquiring if due to the short period (1 day) between paying full price to the reduction could I please have the difference repaid to me? I have never received any response. I am a frequent shopper at John Lewis and the customer service at barker and stone house has only made me only purchase household items and furniture from John Lewis or Fenwicks in the future.
