“Making the arrangements was really, really easy, especially as we decided to travel only a few weeks before we went. Adjustments to the schedule were made as we requested and all the documents arrived in good time. Everything went as planned - all the trips were very well arranged and worked perfectly. The additional information and advice was very handy. The hotel was great and everything was as described. For a 4-day weekend trip, there was a perfect balance between activities and free time so we felt we packed a lot in and did everything we wanted to. The Blue Lagoon was a great way to start, we loved the snow mobiling on the glacier and we even saw the Aurora. Iceland is a wonderful country and we'll certainly be going back. We had a really good guide on our Superjeep tour, Omar. It was a long day and he was great company. Thoroughly enjoyable all round. Thank you ????”

“We had a super, super, time, the lodge we stayed in was well run all the staff were friendly and helpful. everywhere was clean and tidy and the food amazing. It was lovely to come back to the lodge after our activities where it was warm and cosy. All the trips we done, dog sledding, riding the snowmobiles, meeting the Sami man feeding the reindeer, the ice hotel, everything was better than we dreamed of. everyone we met were so nice. To top it all seeing the northern lights was fantastic!........this break, the memory's, will stay with us forever. Would highly recommend. To everyone that helped make this break so amazing THANKYOU.”

“The best adventure we have ever been on bar none! Extremely well organised and nothing was left out. Everything from the flights, accommodation, tours and food was fantastic. The tour operators were exceptional and catered for our every need, nothing was too much trouble and made us feel very welcome and very much at home. I would highly recommend anybody considering a holiday in Iceland to book with Weekend a la carte Aurora Nights and www.southcoastadventures.is. Thank you so much for making this the trip of a lifetime and one we will most definitely remember forever. I look forward to booking our next adventure with you soon.”

“Exceeded my expectations. I am very skeptical when it comes to organised tours but I was proved wrong. My friends and I had the most amazing time. Sadly, we did not see the Northern Lights but none of was was too disappointed as the whole trip was magical. We were met by Ben at Husavik airport, he was there when we arrived. He is a knowledgeable, very polite, patient and very nice guy. Think he ended up spending more time with us than originally planned. We stopped for lunch at a small cafe by the lake Myvatn. Anton then appeared to say hello and to tell us that he'd be taking us out that evening for the Norther Lights spotting. Again, yet another amazing guide! What's not to like about Anton! He went out of his way to accommodate. It was a pleasure to spend 1.5 days in his company. I must say it's not always easy to have 4 merry ladies in a car and remain sane! Anton is very knowledgeable, huge fun and amazingly entertaining guy with a good sense of humor. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Husky Sledding on our last day was a very good experience. There wasn't much snow by then but we made the most of it. I am a big dog lover so for me it was like being in paradise! Berk and her husband were most welcoming and charming. After the sledding they took us to their farm and kennels. We were allowed to go into the Kennels and interact with Huskies. I absolutely loved it! Huskies are so well kept in a 5 star facility. It was very apparent how much love Huskies get from the owners. We sow some heart warming scenes with owners and huskies, truly wonderful. The hotel by the the lake was good. No frills but it was clean, warm and in a good spot. Welcoming and obliging staff. The evening we arrived there was a big Christmas Buffet going on in the restaurant. Ben was on hand and was happy to ring around to check if there was anywhere else we can go for dinner. At the end we actually thought it would be a good fun to join in and taste some traditional Icelandic food. We were right to do so. The hotel Centrum was in a good location, very central. Would be nice to have slighter bigger single beds. The food at this hotel was also very good. Everything was running like a clockwork. I didn't need to chase anyone for anything, amazing! Please, pass on our sincere thanks to all guides, they made our trip. Special thanks to Anton for his hard work.”

“The trip was amazing from start to finish, everything was taken care of for us from transport to food to making sure we didn't miss the northern lights. I'd like to say a huge thank you to Sigga and Magnus who were superb... our trip thru the glaciers was breathtaking and will certainly be at the top of my places visited list for quite some time.. Sigga made us feel incredibly welcome and that nothing was to much trouble (she also cooked us a lovely meal on the first night) The cabin was superb, isolated but very well stocked and finished to a high standard... The views thru the enormous windows never got old We went wanting to see the Northern lights which we were lucky to do so but came away realising Iceland has a lot more to offer and if possible I would love to revisit... I would most definitely use Weekend a la Carte and South Coast Adventures again.”

“The trip was very well organised despite having to integrate multiple agencies. The paperwork was clear at this end and all trips, transport etc was of good value and easily accessed. Purely from a Weekend a la carte point of view it was extremely well delivered package.”

“The whole bespoke itinerary for the trip was organised in advance by the friendly team and put together to make it very relaxing to follow whilst on holiday, this made it completely stress-free so we could enjoy it even more. South Coast Adventures, especially our guides Valdir and Segga, was very friendly and professional with delivering a great adventure tour. He and the other activity organisers never made us feel rushed to ensure we experienced as much as we could.”

“Nothing was too much trouble. Easy to contact and even though I'm quite sure our little break was a minor booking I always felt like a valued client. We had a wonderful time and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Weekend a la carte.”

“Very well organised itinary. Ranga was a great hotel as was the Foss in rejyavik. ( although yet and get sea view not building works view over the town. ) south coast tours very good and arni very friendly and knowledgable.”

“Our recent trip to Iceland staying in the wilderness cabin was truly memorable, we were looked after by Saeli who cooked us a lovely meal and left us with plenty of provisions. Our guide for the three days was Hilmar and we would like to pass on our thanks to him as he looked after us very well on the golden circle tour and drove the super jeep expertly on the Thorsmork tour through rivers and the new snow that had fallen. The meal at the hotel Ranga was very good and we did manage to get a photo of the northern lights albeit a faint green tinge. Many thanks to all at Weekend a la Carte for organising such a wonderful trip.”

“From start to end it was very well organised, Abigail kept us up to speed and the Team in Iceland were great. We are looking to do it again when our son gets a bit older. We couldn't ask for anything more of the trip ( except the northern lights didn't make an appearance!)the planned activities were epic and can't wait to go back! Thank you again. Andrew and Angela”

“This was one of our most enjoyable and unique trips ever! All transports were on time, accommodations excellent, and excursions memorable. A nite sleigh ride, playing with rain deer, snow mobiling, dog sledding, photographing the norther lights are only a few of the amazing things we did. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone.”

“Weekend a la carte: When making initial enquiries about the holiday Mr. Collins was a pleasure to talk with. He gave an honest account (everything turned out to be 'as billed') coupled with a great enthusiasm about the people and place without doing a 'hard sell'. Both him and his colleague were helpful with our questions and additions. The holiday itself was fantastic - though obviously many of the activities were somewhat weather dependant. Particular mention must go to Lill (sp.?) at Pine Bay Lodge - just lovely. Also the food there was exceptional. On the down side (but not everyone might see it like this) we have not been contacted by the company since our return. (Assuming this review isn't theirs.)”
