The move was on 3rd October 2022. It was an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. The 2 men that helped me move were impolite and didn't even turn up in a professional manner. One of the men turned up just in casual clothes listening to music, they did not introduce themselves and were very standoffish. The other man, who i am assuming was in charge, made me feel extremely uncomfortable and i have not a clue why. They came completely unprepared. As a military family we have had lots of professional moves so knew what to expect and honestly i have no idea what £520 paid for! There was nothing to protect items, i had asked for 5 large boxes and 5 small boxes that never materialised and then was charged extra for all of the stuff that was supposed to go into those boxes. I was also charged extra just for a small tv and a pram. However i was not informed of these extra charges until all of my belongings had been put in the van therefore i didn't have a choice but to accept the extra charges instead of moving the items myself, which i would of preferred instead of paying even more money. I was on my own during the move and i feel like i was completely taken advantage of because as i woman i wouldnt feel comfortable starting conflict with two men on my own which i think they used as an advantage. The lack of professionalism led me to check the details of the van being used. Whilst the storage unit attached to the van was taxed, the van itself was not taxed (images have been attached) which i am certain is not allowed or legal when working for a removals company. I feel completely taken advantage of and it's taken me a few days to even get my head round it. As we are used moving i thought paying £450 was a little on the high side anyway, especially because i don't have much stuff. They arrived at 9.30 and the job was completed at 12.30, this means the entire job was around 4 hours so cost £130 per hour! Every single removal company i have compared that to charge £60 per house plus some additional charges for furniture they have to take extra care with. The men had absolutely no care for my belongings and kept bashing into things whilst loading the van, which again i didn't challenge because i was on my own and didnt feel comfortable to do so. I do feel like maybe they would care more if they worked for a company that cared about it's employees. I found reviews from previous employees comparing it to modern day slavery. I can't imagine the men who did my move are being paid the full £520. The final and worst part of the whole experience was damage to a piece of furniture, which is my most expensive piece of furniture. This isnt just a bit of paint it has taken a chunk out of the corner of the wood out of a piece of furniture which cost £500 on sale. I would like to be compensated for the move itself, obviously i don't wish the men themselves loose money they made for the loading and driving but £130 per hour is very very steep! And i want to be compensated for the unit which has been damaged. This email has been forwarded to all relevant departments and reviews left on google and trust pilot.

This is genuinely the worst service I've ever recieved from a company. 1. Anyvan initially charged me 4 times for a single ammendment to my order, which should have cost 24 pounds - they charged me 96 pounds, and took 4 days to refund this. 2. The driver then arrived 40 minutes late 3. The driver then refused to take some of the items, dishoneslty claiming that there was more than listed on the inventory. As my tenancy expired on that day, I had to take an Uber with the rest of the goods, costing me 230 pounds 4. Upon unpacking the goods at the destination, I discovered that the driver had dropped something on a PC screen, breaking it, which was worth a further 200 pounds. They have failed to pay a single penny in compensation. I will be taking them to SCC to recover my costs. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. The driver I had was called Ben , his phone number was 07740 242751.

I would seriously advise you NOT (would underline, bold and put in italics if I could) to use this lot. They were awful. Seriously, one of the worst experiences I have ever had dealing with any organisation, business or company. DO NOT make the same mistake as I did with their Trustpilot score. It's inflated with "invited" reviews. Wish I had paid more attention. Read the bad reviews and you will see a definite pattern of incompetence, awful customer care, tardiness and daylight robbery. Also, DO NOT believe their responses to bad reviews on here. THEY DON'T CARE. Once you have paid them, that's it. They know moving is a stressful experience and take advantage of the situation! Please please don't use them. I was so stressed and upset by my experience and I am normally an incredibly relaxed easy going person. In fact, I never write reviews, but thought it was a moral duty to warn people about this lot. Moving home is stressful and can be an emotional experience. This lot only add to that stress and anxiety. They turned up late twice. The first time they only sent one person to do a home move! This was after I had explained during the booking process that there was furniture like beds etc. to move. The sole mover arrived late on Sunday, took one look at what was to be moved and left!! Spent 2 hrs trying to get hold of their Customer Service team. Decided to change tactic and call their Sales team. Surprise Surprise, they picked up right away! They blamed me for not telling them it was a two man job even though I had told them I was moving furniture like beds and sofas. They refused to give me a refund! I had no choice but to rebook, which was another cost - by this stage I was totally packed, no internet etc. and I was moving out of rented accommodation that needed to be vacated immediately because my landlord was completing the sale of the property the next day. I had no time to find another company. The next day, the second team arrived. This time two of them, but once again late! Then when they got to my new home - an apartment block, they complained my apartment was too far from the van, which was parked directly next to my apartment building. They couldn't have parked any closer and my apartment building has multiple entrances and lifts!! The concierge suggested the best spot and route to my apartment. It was a few minutes walk from the van to my apartment. There were some fire safety doors to navigate, but that surely is nothing new! Subsequently charged me an additional amount to unpack my things. Basically held me at ransom! At this stage I was fuming. I was promised a call back and a potential refund. Its been two weeks and no one has called. The person was Andy from their Day team. Wouldn't give me his second name. When you add up all my costs, including having to pay rent for an additional night at my previous place because of the debacle of sending one person to move furniture, I was out of pocket by nearly £750. If you want peace of mind during a home move and don't want to get ripped off by a completely unprofessional outfit, I suggest you hire someone else.

I used anyvan for a recent house move, where my partner and I were moving in together, so two collections with delivery to one address. I went through all of the details online and filled in everything we have in both properties. I was moving from a two bed house and my partner from a two bed flat. I booked the collection to be between 8 and 9 to give three to four hours to empty both properties as we needed to be out by midday on both. I also booked the full premium pack and unpack service to make the process as stress free as possible. About a week before the move, I was contacted by an anyvan representative to go through everythng for the move. After speaking to him, he advised that I had booked too early as they only have a 2hr waiting time and that he would reschedule for 10. He also said that I’d allowed too much by way of boxes etc and that all I would need was 20 medium boxes for my move and 15 for my partners. I felt that this was wrong and expressed my concerns, however I don’t move house for a living so accepted Anyvans advice. A day before we both moved, I got a call from my driver saying that he felt 10 was too late and he should come at 8, I obviously agreed so he arrived then. My move was going smoothly until he said that I only had half the number of boxes I would need and I had to pay him on the spot or they wouldn’t move any more stuff! He also said that some larger bagged items (I have a couple of paddle boards, guitars etc) could not go on the van as they did not fit into the box and were extras that would cost £170! In the meantime, my partners move had not started. I explained in the phone call previously that we both need to be out of our properties by 12, but when her van turned up after 10:30, they said that she would not be out before 3! They had also not bought any packaging materials, so my partner had to go out, buy her own and then pack up all of her delicates herself and move them in her / her parents cars. She finally cleared the property after 14:00. When we arrived at the new house, the ‘full unpacking service’ was nothing of the sort, it simply means dropping the boxes somewhere in the house. I have spent too many hours holding for anyvan to try to sort this out now, both on the day and subsequently, that the only course of action available to me is to make sure that others are aware of how poor the service is. Had I have done my own packing, I could have done it at my leisure, but by choosing the full sevice to reduce stress, they achieved the exact opposite! The day was incredibly difficult for my partner and her family and unneccesarily costly for me. I cannot recommend that you use anyvan under any circumstances.

Excellent salesman (Akay) making you feel like everything is under control. ViaVan is like Uber for movers, they sell you a service which is then outsourced. The Via Van salesman hugely underestimated the task, and it fell onto the poor movers to make it happen. Kuddos to them, they were lovely and did their absolute best packing and moving a 2 bed flat with only 2 of them for 8h until more employees could join them to finish off and reassemble in the new house. Akay from ViaVan was adamant, we were moving so close, a day would suffice (I literally challenged this 3 times). The poor movers did a rushed job to get it done (nothing broken) while keeping a positive attitude, even supporting us through the stress of exchange/completion happening on the same day. They left our new home after 10pm with barely a break. We had to pay extra for more boxes as Akay didn't factoring in enough (again despite me saying cupboards are full). That's a hefty £290 extra ! Worse of all, ViaVan clearly must keep a hefty commission and they still screw everyone over in the process. Worth noting that Akay, the nice salesman stopped answering emails the moment it went South. They also originally cancelled my booking with 2 days to go, the bank had declined the original transaction, I authorised it then let Akay know so they could take it again. They just cancelled and in the end I had to call them to sort it. Avoid, you don't need this extra stress.

Do not use this company! Their service is absolutely AWFUL. The drivers were rude and aggressive. My husband ended up taking about 1/2 the things they were meant to transport. We ending up packing and unpacking everything despite paying for the gold service. Their phone customer service is terrible - we spent about 3 1/2 hours on hold to Anyvan on the day of the move trying to get them to help. Every person we spoke to told us something different but nobody was willing to help. The movers broke 2 valuable items which we have been told to claim on insurance but from the reviews it sounds like that is a scam too. The move was last Wednesday and until today...Monday we have not had any response from Anyvan despite complaining every day. Finally got a response today saying there is nothing they can do and are not willing to provide any discount or refund. DO NOT use the company they are AWFUL!

Terrible customer service, once they got your money they are not interested. The tracker doesn't work and was showing the drivers arriving at 6pm for my move which was perfect but they turned up much earlier and I ended up paying £96 extra. I wanted them to deliver next day but also said I don't mind them delivering on the same day if that suited them as I would be in the area anyway. Confusion with the booking resulting in 2.5 hours trying to sort that out 3 days before. They will quote you a price but expect to pay much more on the day. When you call the call centre you get robotic responses from staff.

Anyvan are a joke. I recently tried to get a motorcycle collected from london and delivered to scotland. On two occasions I only found out on the day of pick up that anyvan had no intentions of making the collection. On both occasions I had to contact anyvan to be told they couldn't honour the job they said they would do. Bad enough to be let down last minute but to have no communication at all from anyvan to let me know that they were not lifting my motorcycle. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with and would advise anyone to give them a wide birth and stay clear. Customer communication was non existent.

Ignore the glossy website, they don't send a smart branded van with happy uniformed guys to move your home. No they send two random guys one who spoke poor English and two rickety old vans. They then argued with me over the inventory and left me having to move stuff via the car even though they had a half empty truck. Anywho they stick to there inventory to the letter no wiggle room whatever. Throw my stuff into a wagon without a care in a world, lots has arrived damaged even things that were bubble wrapped which god knows how they managed that. Charged me extra for additions, fair enough but the driver decided he wasn't happy the office had took the payment so paid himself again so I got charged twice lol. Joke from start to finish do yourself a favour don't use them .

I have just had the worst experience of my life today due to this company. I had booked a van paying extra for my time slot of between 9 and 10 am. When the van hadn't arrived by 9.50 I called to make sure it was on it's way only to be told they couldn't get me a driver. I was told this by an individual who was sitting in a call centre in Cape Town South Africa. They didn't even contact me to tell me there was no van coming. I had to vacate our property by 12 oclock with no van to do the removal. I have read negative reviews on websites before and thought people were just being nasty but believe me anyone needing a removal done....avoid this company at all costs. They are an absolute joke and will let you down badly. Please please avoid and use a reliable source.

Very poor service. I had removals booked but completion was cancelled day before. I called to re-arrange but did not have a new completion date. They asked me for a 50% additional payment but could not book without a new completion date. I lost all of my £360. Not flexible at all!!!!!!

If your allocated driver is Farhan when booking in London, just do the move yourself instead. 1. Claims he is on his way when he is not 2. Ignores every call as he misses the time slot you paid extra for 3. Disgraceful mannerism upon arrival, no apology for tardiness 4. Stands and watches as you struggle and do the move yourself 5. Passive agressive to your mother as an empty plastic bag falls on the floor, "is this how you pack? Do you not know how to pack? " 6. Makes RACISM claims ( same race as him btw) as he recieved a lighthearted stop it for the comment he made previously sidenote: the public laughed when he screamed this 7. Whole job cancelled because he was in a strop Overall, he has zero professionalism or an idea for customer service. He is not aware of his job role, I suggest the company reiterates this if they continue to hire people without any screening it seems. In the end, we did the move ourselves calling ubers. I've used mutiple services for moves and never have I ever recieved such disgraceful service!

My driver was great but ANYVAN as a company as well as their customer service is appalling. It was not made clear at any point during booking that my driver would be picking up and dropping off other goods from different locations and my furniture would be part of a multi-load. I paid extra, on top of an already expensive service, for an early pick up time to ensure that my furniture was delivered to a warehouse before they closed. However, due to the other drop off's the delivery window started 4 hours after pick up (when the journey is just 2hours) meaning that if it was picked up later it would not get to the workshop before it closed. I tried to call them to see if any alterations could be made, they said they would try and make a note of it for the driver. The driver was unable to accomodate but I did not find this out till on the day of the delivery. In the end I had to organise with the driver for them to be delivered to another address as the workshop was closed. Trying to get in contact with ANYVAN was a nightmare, left on hold for so long that the phone got disconnected twice. I was promised a refund for the extra I paid for an earlier booking slot but after a 40 min phone call and being told that I should have booked a deliver slot window, a function on the booking site that doesn't actually exist, I was denied a refund. Just unhappy all around with ANYVAN and I would not recommend them.

Very similar experience to the other reviewers. Engaged a company through Anyvan. It was a truly nasty experience. Drivers arrived super late, so the move wasn't over until late at night. So late that we couldn't get away as planned. First crew arrived surly and uncommunicative, dropped boxes of kitchenware/crockery on the way down the stairs. Second crew had a full Eastern European sex-trafficker vibe. One guy was surly, breathtakingly rude, actually menacing. They managed to ruin pretty much all of our furniture, things were scraped, scratched, bent, broken, glass shattered, you name it, they ruined it. Although everything was bubble-wrapped to within an inch of its life as instructed. Photographed the manager, sent it to the manager, whose first instinct was threatening. Then he fobbed us off, told us it would take months before anything happened insurance wise. Then after months they claimed they didn't know what we were talking about, denied all communication. Although, there is an actual trail. Then they just stopped communicating with us. Approached Anyvan to ask what was their take. They said it was nothing to do with them. So, don't go via Anyvan, they are chancers and cheats. A really toxic experience.

Wow. What an absolute shambles anyvan are. They are clueless, useless liars. AVOID. Let me tell you about my experience with anyvan. I booked a house move with them a month ahead of the move date, went through the list of stuff, all seemed okay. The day of the move rolls around - Where are anyvan? No one knows. They are supposed to show up between 8am and 9am. I call at 9:15 and the helpdesk person has nothing but laughter for me. I try calling the driver - 7 times - nothing. I try anyvan again and actually get through to someone helpful. He can offer me two options - a full refund or a move later that day, I don't have much choice so I go for a move later that day and a new time of 8am to 6pm is given to me. So now I'm surrounded by boxes and just have to wait. I ask anyvan about the moving crew, these guys have had a full day so won't they be tired and just want to get done? I.e. in a bit of a rush? No says anyvan, this will be a new, fresh crew! [Morgan freeman voice]They were not a new fresh crew. In fact, they were tired and argumentative[/Morgan freeman voice] They start to throw stuff in the van, almost literally. I paid for four items to be dissembled. Their paperwork says three. I say f* it and disassemble my main desk myself. They drive to my new place, dump the furniture in the house and get out as quick as possible. It's now gone 9pm, a very long day. A few days later as I'm checking through all the stuff I notice serious scraps and dings out of two bookcases, one bedside cabinet, the bedframe and a shelf is missing from a half height bookcase. What a complete shambles anyvan are.

PREMIUM SERVICE FROM HELL - AVOID!! I booked the premium service which according to the brochure included packing boxes, unpacking, dissembling and reassembly of furniture. When the removal men arrived they spoke no English. It took over 8 hours to pack and dissemble furniture (I live by myself in a flat). After two and a half hours Tia from Anyvan called to tell me I would need to pay extra for packing as this was not included. I stated that my reason for selecting the premium service, at an extra cost of £600 was because it included packing and unpacking. She at first argued with me to say that this was not included as I did not select boxes, but after checking she confirmed I did not need to pay extra for packing, but would need to pay for the boxes to be carried! I had no option but to pay an additional £170 as I did not want the movers to refuse to continue as my house was being completed at 13:00. The delivery men arrived at my original flat at 8am and only finished unloading boxes and furniture into my new home at 21.50! They had not finished packing by 12:00, four hours after starting, so I asked them to focus on disassembling furniture and moving boxes to the van in order to speed things along. By 14:00 the cleaner I had hired, myself and my mother had to pack the kitchen and lounge area as the movers were still disassembling the furniture. Not a single box at this point had been taken to the van. They did not unpack boxes or reassemble furniture. Office furniture was lodged into the bathroom so I was unable to access the bathroom, boxes were left on stairs blocking access to the upper bedroom, kitchen microwave was left on a chair, washing machine in the corner of the dining room. As the job was not complete (furniture not at the bare minimum reassembled, boxes not labelled or put in correct rooms, boxes left on stairs unable to access rooms) I did not sign off on job completion. Despite this, the drivers fraudulently signed the documents as the customer. The pictures were taken the next day and show the complete state of disarray the property was left in. When I called Anyvan the next day to complain they said unpacking was not included (despite it being included in the brochure), there is no time limit to service delivery, there is no problem with dissembled goods not being reassembled and they consider this to be good standards. They were not concerned that I had not signed off on the job. When I told Sal that the boxes were not even labelled to be placed in the correct room he stated that if I had wanted the boxes labelled I should have made a special request for this. I would expect experts whom I am paying £1500 to be able to do their job without my having to guide them at every step. I was extremely surprised and disappointed with the condescending and confrontational approach taken by Sal. What should have been a celebratory experience of buying my first house was completely ruined. After the removal men left at 21.50 I looked around and sobbed. I had spent £1500 for a service that was not delivered and unable to spend the first night in my new home.
