18/09/2023 Today, I was contacted from Anyvan to cancel the house moving service I have arranged and paid for on 22/09/2023. That's just a few days away and their reason is that the quote they gave me is wrong and asked me to pay over £400 more if I want to keep this service. First of all, the quote and discount have been applied and given to me by the staff via live chat. The staff who called Shaun (refused to give me his full name) tried to frame it as my fault as I did the quote online and the quote is not accurate up there. Indeed that's not my wrong and actually it is a quote from the staff directly so if that is inaccurate , the fault is theirs because of the human mistake. I have the chat history for your scrutiny. I don't see any reasons why I have to endure this suffering. Honestly, you cannot just cancel on someone ,especially moving is a big job to do and I never agree with it in the phone call. I demanded to speak to a senior manager as I see we are not going anywhere as they are not trying to be reasonable. Then Shaun claimed he is the one. So the phone call ended with he is insisting to cancel and refund me without my approval. I demand to have my arranged service back with the same quote and amount to pay.

Was told if I booked on same day as I had received my quotation would secure quotation price of £520 due to their 'live pricing' policy, fair enough..... my parents were paying, so I was quoted by Rauo at 11:58am. My mother rang and put card details to secure the booking at 13:11 THE SAME DAY! When she had her confirmation email through Anyvan had increased the charge to £785! They say this is to 'live pricing' but also tell you when delivering quotation that your price will freeze if you contact on the same day as quotation is booked, which is clearly absolute rubbish. Customer service agent when I rang to query this and ask for the service at the price that was quoted, was very rude and unbothered. Would do nothing to see if he could do anything to help with pricing, and was very arrogant on the telephone. I ended up completely cancelling the booking. Be careful..... Would definetly not recommend this company.

Anyvan are appalling. Having damaged all of our furniture, the walls of the house we moved into and extorting cash from us to take the items we had paid to have removed, they returned an email with the following, quoted verbatim : As AnyVan is not in a regulated industry, nor are we a member of any trade organisations, it means we do not fall under the jurisdiction of any ombudsman or Alternative Dispute Resolution Scheme (ADR). Basically they are claiming there is no resolution process and they sold us a sham insurance policy that they have no intention of honouring. If you used anyvan, and you paid on credit card, I suggest going through section 75 through your issuer or charging back the costs of you can. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

The removals team they supplied were incompetent and the vehicle they supplied inadequate. They damaged almost every piece of furniture, ranging from large scratches, holes you can put your fist through to doors torn from cabinets. They caused over £2000 of damage and offered £76 in compensation. You'd be better off sticking a match to your existing furniture and buy it all again new.

DO NOT USE ANYVAN - If I could give them 0 I would. Booked using the website for 2 bookcases and a king size bed/mattress. Guys show up 1.5 hours late (8pm on a Sunday) and refuse to take the stuff unless they get extra money - they threaten to leave it there on the pavement. We have to agree to pay extra as we have no other choice, and give £30 more (on top of the £115 from Anyvan). I called Anyvan to complain today and they said that this happens a lot but cash in hand transactions aren’t covered - this means the drivers KNOW they will get away with it. Absolutely disgusting - I’ve never felt so pressured by people before and they were exceptionally hostile. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES.

They hire out the jobs to third party transport companies. The third party transport companies broke and damaged thousands of pounds worth of our items. They demanded more money. Threatened to leave items behind if we didn’t move them ourself (we paid for them to move everything). I have called to complain and essentially got “sorry you feel that way but you can’t prove that your damaged items and damaged walls and floors weren’t like that before”. Go with someone local, not this horrendous company!

Anyvan company is disgusting. They flaked, did not contact me until after the delivery date/time scheduled with a copy of this email below. However they also lied to my sister saying their van had broken down and would call her when they were able to show up but never contacted her again. They lied, they flaked and I found out after the event AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST! -- Hi Amira, I trust this email finds you were well. I tried giving you a call to better discuss your AnyVan booking AV8032618. We have been unsuccessful in getting you a driver to come and accommodate you with your move today, due to low availability on drivers within your collection area. Is it possible for us to reschedule your booking for either Wednesday or Thursday. I understand this is not ideal, however we do have confirmed drivers available for these days. Could I politely request that you reply directly to this email with the requested information. Alternately you can reach out to our Live Chat Team. Arguably the worst moving company I have used in my entire existence. I had to pay roughly £1000 for a 1 bed move and storage. All due to extra fees. You are better off going with a smaller company or easy storage. Used them no issue. I am in utter shock to be honest, I paid a fee to move. Then paid again to reschedule. Then because I didn’t realise that I had to pay for that week of storage they cancelled my move and told me if I wanted my stuff I’d have to pay 50% of the total move fee again. So imagine, £200 something for the initial move, way more storage time than I wanted, £226 to get my stuff back, plus £50 to reschedule plus £113. Plus all of the storage fees that accumulated. Don’t do it to yourselves, it may seem convenient at the time when you need it last minute but you will thank yourself that you went with a company that actually cares.

DISGUSTING COMPANY! So my initial job was for a few cases some large bags and a medium box for £52 pounds and to go up two flights of steps. As things go I ended up having a laundry bin, a stool and two small parcels as well. Well the man kindly told me I had to pay an extra £68 for him to move the stuff ! Then when I go to get in the van as that’s what I did with another company he says ‘Oh you can’t come with us’ and left me there ! So I had to just hope that they knew they were going while I waited for an Uber and guess what-they weren’t. Maybe it’s because they know I’m a young girl that they decided they could take complete advantage of me. Then I talked to Taryn a ‘support agent’ who told me that it was all fine because they were professionals and would hopefully deliver my items soon. So now I’m just waiting and hoping that EVERYTHING I OWN is delivered untouched and nothing has been stolen. This company is a scam whatever you do DO NOT USE THEM.

Bad experience doesn't describe how we have been let down. We are moving house and booked Anyvan to do it. However they managed to leave a bookcase behind. So we then had to pay another fee to get it collected and delivered. The booking and date were confirmed and Congratulations were sent from This bunch. But after waiting most of the day for no one in turn up we cancelled nd rebooked for today. But guess what we were given a slot from 11am until 4pm and having made another round trip of 140 miles they failed to organise a driver. So the new owners move in tomorrow and we are left to sort the problem. These are shoddy unprofessional cowboys we won't ever go near them again

They went to pickup and said they can’t do the job and refuse to give me a refund . And stole £144 of me . They also kept on rising the price , I clear told them I’m disabled and sick and on benefits and they just didn’t care at all . This is what the do too vulnerable people. Worst delivery service and company ever don’t not use unless you are happy to be scammed out of your money .booking refs av801 1699

After paying them over £1,000 they: - Left a third of our things behind, including over 15 bags of clothes that were listed in the inventory - Dropped off our things on the ground floor (since their agent did the booking wrong and didn't indicate it was going to the 2nd floor) and - Delivered over 12 hours late. They also work on commissions, so you're better off calling a smaller company directly. They repeatedly refused to admit things they had said and we had to ask them to listen to their call recordings. Afterward, they offered an insulting £30 discount on our next booking. As if we would ever book anything with them again.... Also, they clearly said when booking that they would be able to move additional items - as you can see in their corporate response below, they now deny this. Good luck the calls are recorded! ;)

Awful service! Packing was terrible- I paid over £2000 for packing and it was the worst decision I ever made! What was supposed to make my life easier and less stressful was in fact the opposite. Lots of items (multiple car loads) we had to transfer ourselves as they said they were not included. Boxes were half empty when I opened them! Books thrown in and damaged - not packed nicely all books together they were thrown in with clothes and hangers. Items which were in boxes placed inside boxes at angles -thereby minimising space in the box so they could charge me on the day for more boxes. Plants were not protected on the journey. Do NOT make the same mistake I did. Choose another company- this was the worst decision I made using Anyvan!

Driver was very rude and damaged will walls when carrying my mirror. Notified anyvan and they said they won’t accept liability because the driver said he didn’t do it. I also paid for the additional insurance which should have covered it

This company is an absolute joke. I booked a small house removal. First day the van was half full of someone else’s stuff and couldn’t load mine. The second day, the van broke down and couldn’t come. I was told I could cancel for a refund but this was an important house move for a new job and I was at the mercy of this unprofessional company. Third day the van came at 7am then had to drive to Manchester to collect more stuff and said they’d get to my new house for 5pm. I was sick and arranged for a friend to supervise the delivery. The driver called at 1.45 to say it would be 8hrs before arrival! Eventually got to my new house at 9.45pm and my friend couldn’t stay that late, the drivers dumped all my stuff in the kitchen! After a phonecall to the manager they dumped a bed and drawers upstairs and everything else in the kitchen! Oh except for my bike which they dumped outside. I was in tears to the driver begging him to put my sofa in the lounge and washing machine in the garage, I even offered to pay him more money to put my things where I needed them and he refused. The company’s response; I should have arranged for someone to meet the driver, regardless of time of night, I should have said if I wanted the items in the correct room (despite this being a house removal service), the driver apparently said I wanted all my items dumped in the kitchen, they offered a measly 10% refund - stick it Anyvan, you’re company is shocking and does not deserve to operate. You’ve caused me distress, worry and anguish and now I have to pay someone to put right your shoddy service.

Dishonest business. Avoid at all cost. Dishonest business. Full of lies. Money-extorting. I wasted my money and time and continually so as my formal complaint is not taken seriously. Use TaskRabbit instead, you get to work directly with drivers and review them directly as well. Use Gumtree instead, or any other platform. Stay away. You will end paying for the job and doing it yourself while more money will be asked of you. Comical, but true.
