In summary, absolutely horrific service and if I could give it 0 stars I would. If you want a service where they turn up 3 and a half hours late for a house move, one of the ‘removal’ guys tries to fight with you when they eventually arrive, turn up in a hire van, don’t have any straps/protections/covers/overshoes and use your own duvets and sheets to try and protect belongings, damage several items in transit, damage your new house and then offer you £150 compensation and £45 damages then AnyVan is definitely the company for you. I moved house on Friday 18/10/2024 and arranged the removal through AnyVan. The scheduled time for the arrival of the van was from 1000-1200 hours. By 1230 hours it hadn’t arrived so I phoned the driver, who didn’t answer. They then arrived at 1330 hours and, on the 2 males getting out of the van, I asked them where they had been. One of them held his arms out in an aggressive manner and asked me twice if I ‘wanted to go’. If you’re not from Glasgow, this is local language for asking another person if they want to engage in a stand up fight. I asked him if that was any way to be speaking to a customer and he aggressively asked me if I just wanted them to take the van away. Obviously I did not want this to happen as I was in the middle of a chain of families moving house. My wife, on hearing raised voices, has then came to the front door and asked the guy who he thought he was talking to, and he was aggressive with her as well. He quickly calmed down and apologised, advising he had some bad news earlier in the day. They had arrived in an AK Van Hire vehicle. This is a West of Scotland based hire van company. On opening up the van, I noticed that they had no straps, covers, protections and only 1 pair of overshoes. During the course of the move they used MY duvets, sheets and towels to try and protect my own items! They then asked me if I could fit anything in a van that I had hired. I had filled this up the previous day with garden/garage items and didn’t pay AnyVan over £700 for them to then use a van I’d paid to hire in addition to this service. They then asked if I could help by bringing items down from upstairs. In what world does someone pay for a removal company and then get asked to help out with the work?! By the end of it I effectively did 1/3 of the work myself. The move took 2 runs as they turned up in a van too small for a 4 bedroom house move. By the time I got to the new property they had already started unloading. My mother-in-law was present and repeatedly told one of them to stop putting boxes on a radiator cover in the hall next to the front door. Nevertheless, he ignored her and kept doing it, damaging the cover in the process. The van was soaking from rain and wet shoes and the amount of items damaged, marked or broken due to insufficient covers/protections/straps is quite frankly ridiculous. The damage caused was - 1. Chip to a living room cabinet 2. Chip to radiator cover in new house 3. Chip to kitchen door in new house 4. Mark on a pink armchair 5. Marks on sofa 6. Marks on a single bed frame 7. Marks on a double bed frame 8. Smashed crystal wedding glasses 9. Smashed pint glasses 10. Smashed whisky glasses 11. Damaged coffee cups 12. Damaged deer ornament 13. Damaged nutri ninja lid 14. Damaged bedroom chest of drawers For the damage to the radiator cover in the new house, they suggested a bit of Tip-Ex would fix it. Is that really a professional approach to damaging a customers property? I know they were trying to be funny, but that was neither the time nor the place. The claims team have offered me £45 for the damages. Apparently I can’t prove that I didn’t pack broken glasses?! So, they’re at fault for some damage but not at fault for other damage? I was initially offered £20 compensation for them turning up late. This has been increased to £150 by their customer service team. To summarise, avoid at all costs.

Good Morning Allan, We are incredibly sorry to hear you have not recieved a satisfactory service and that damage may have been caused. We can see a member of our service quality team has discussed this with you, and a partial refund has been issued in light of the lateness, and the conduct of the Transport Provider. We would like to assure you that this will also be raised with the relevant team to review internally. In regard to the damages reported, at the point of sale, you are offered the option to purchase additional cover, for the risks of loading and unloading. When additional cover is not purchased, your claim is reviewed internally, based on the evidence which has been provided. We understand you remain unhappy with this offer, and a member of the team has attempted to call you to discuss this further. As we have been unable to reach you, a further email has been sent. Kind regards, AnyVan

AVOID AT ANY COST This company must not be allowed to trade!!! I had the most traumatic removal experience with AnyVan removal company. Before I booked removal of all my items on 5/10/24 I had an hour long chat with Sadeeka and discussed in detail all of my items and sent the photos of my items to her. She quoted £1215 to have all of my items removed on 5/10/24 . However on the day of the removal unbeknown to myself the drivers were instructed to fill only 25 boxes. When they arrived they told me that is all they going to do. So after they filled 25 small size boxes they simply left me stranded in the flat. In despair I called AnyVan to find out what on earth had gone wrong with ghe booking and why the drivers only filled 25 boxes . Anaesthesia from the AnyVan customer service told me that they needed to investigate this and that it would take 48 hours before they could get back to me. I was in tears with my head in my hands . I was pleading with them to complete the removal . Crying on the phone , telling them that I had been left stranded by the drivers who came in the morning and left the property by 1 pm not completing the removal. Anaesthesia told me that the only way to complete the removal of all my items was to pay extra money on top of what I had already paid, She quoted me additional £1300 for all of my items to be removed and to complete the removal on 5/10/24 I needed to leave the property . I had a flight booked with BA. I was in tears. I was desperate and felt pushed into a corner by AnyVan with no choice . In desperation I felt pushed to pay extra £1300 to complete the removal on the same day. Again AnyVan sent the drivers around 5 pm. However , and AGAIN they were instructed to fill 75 small to medium size boxes. They were also instructed to come with a drill to take my bed frame down. However, they turned up without a drill. Most of them did not speak English and told me they were from Romania . I watched them throw my valuable items into the boxes , then close half empty boxes . They also broke my bed frame. I was devastated . In tears . To my horror , they left not completing the removal!!! Again leaving me stranded for the 2nd time on the same day after I paid almost £3000!!!! I was completely devastated. Unable to leave the property !! I also ended up missing my BA flight and having to reschedule it and pay the extra fee!!! I slept on the floor that night . On 6/10/2024 I found an emergency removal company who completed the removal . As a result of all this I developed an asthma exacerbation and a chest infection I am still recovering from. AnyVan removal company responded to my complaint by saying they could not trace my telephone conversation with Sadeeka/Anaesthesia and refused to give me the refund. AnyVan company are underhand, dangerous and should not be allowed to be in business. To date they have refused to give me my money back or cover the cost of the broken bed frame!! AVOID AT ANY COST

Really bad they quote you one thing and then don't stick to it and triple it - knowing that they have you over a barrel because they have your stuff and they lied about where it's kept as well so it's ages away from where you wanted it. Really tricky to deal with and they just keep you on hold for hours with the accountant so that you give up and you pay the excess to get your stuff back..

Absolutely disgusting service from any van I booked a van to collect a bed when they arrived the couriers from what I found out they weren’t happy with the size of the bed where it was anyway fast forward five minutes I received an automated message not even a phone call to say you have to pay an extra £53 I instantly tried to call back the number. No one picked up the couriers left without my goods. It was impossible to get through to these people. I finally got through and spoke to several different representatives of this disgusting company. I think they play on peoples fear. The first person said oh you just rebook that cost you £26 then put the phone down. I phone back again someone said oh no no, no £43, he then put the phone down. I phoned back again. I was told oh sorry it’s £90 the phone went dead how convenient and then phone back again they said it’s £119. I asked them about my initial £53 that I had paid they said oh no no you can’t have that back what a scam what a scam.

Good Morning Yvonne, We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with your AnyVan experience. Upon review of your booking we can see that when the Transport Providers arrived to collect the item it had been listed incorrectly, required dismantling and did also have an additional floor which was not advised. We can further see that when speaking to our customer service team the price quoted to you was the price to reschedule the booking and then make the amendments which were required. Upon further review, we note you did enquire about adding an additional person to assist with the move, and so the price of this was also provided to you. We apologise for the delay in getting through to speak to our team however, as the booking was listed incorrectly and the Transport Provider attending was unable to complete this we are unable to process a refund to you. Kind Regards, AnyVan

Absolutely disgusted by this company. I paid to have a van collected and delivered. They cancelled this morning saying the van is too big for local collector. They are now refusing my refund which is absolutely disgusting!!! If not sorted I will have to go through trading standards. Shocking company!!

Beware of this company! I booked AnyVan based on such excellent reviews, however I could not be more disappointed with the service I received and will certainly never be using this company again. I paid extra for a slot in the middle of the day, but the driver did not arrive until the evening, by which time I had already carried the contents of my flat down the two flights of stairs by myself (which was the whole reason I booked a man with a van rather than hiring one myself). The van was already full of another customer's items, and my things were squeezed into the back of the van. No secures of any form were used to help support all the items in the van. The van did another drop off on the way to my house without informing me of this and did not deliver my items until 8:30pm, which was several hours later than planned. Upon arrival, the driver informed me that my bed headboard had fallen out and broken when he was rushing to get the other client’s items out of the van. The driver said this happens, and I would get the money for a new bed or replacement. I had to wait 8 weeks to find out the maximum I would be offered was £100, despite the fact this had been a new bed worth £400, as I had not taken out the additional insurance. However, personally, I assume when paying for a moving service that at the bare minimum a bed headboard will be secured on a side wall of the van, not balanced against the door. Therefore, I had not thought insurance would be necessary solely for this item. I was also told I could have claimed back money on the additional fee I paid for a day time collection slot, due to the driver showing up late – frustratingly I was not made aware of this at the time that I made my claim. As I did not mention this straight after the booking date, I was no longer allowed to claim this back, despite the fact the company had receipt of the drivers check in time on their system all along. I am now significantly out of pocket, by paying for a service which was supposed to make my life easier and has in fact made things much harder. The company does not have any provisions in place to ensure people’s property is looked after and there is no acknowledgement when a basic level of service has not been given. For a company which is so big, I don’t know how it can operate like this. NEVER to be used again.

Beware - a scam! Had to write a review so others know how bad this company is. I booked AnyVan based on such excellent reviews, however this was not what I experienced. I let the agent know I had a revised list of contents (guessing how many boxes when you havent packed is very hard) and they said that would not be a problem, I even had an email trail. On the actual moving day the removal men refused to take anything that was not on their list (their list did not even include what I original logged down) so it was wrong to begin with. I had to wait 2hrs whilst I phoned their HQ to try and get this resolved. We did not get into our house or leave the old one until after 3.30pm, two hours later than we were due to! They only agreed to take the rest of the items by making me pay another £169 or they would have left the remaining items on the driveway. It was so upsetting on such a stressful day when you're trying to move, to have to go through this. I would recommend anyone moving to not use AnyVan and to get a couple men with a van, far cheaper and they wont be accounting for every box and lamp as it goes in, And then make you pay extortionate additional costs. they also damaged our sofa bed but refused to pay (even though we were insured) as the driver of the lorry said he didnt mark it. why do they even offer insurance if they are going to believe the driver before you!

Good Morning, We are incredibly sorry to hear you are unhappy with your AnyVan booking. Upon review, we can see a partial refund was issued for the additional costs paid on the day of the move. In relation to the damage claim, you have opted for basic compensation, which covers for fire and theft only. When a claim is raised, AnyVan will request the relevant evidence you may have to mediate the claim with the Transport Provider. Unfortunately, in instances such as these, whereby the evidence has not been provided, and the Provider has not accepted liability, AnyVan is unable to enforce this upon them. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused. Kind regards, AnyVan

Overall, Anyvan has turned out to be an utter disappointment! Their van personnel was uncooperative and very unprofessional - who not only whined and moaned throughout the move process but also caused material damages to my items (with photographic evidence) because of his negligence and lack of professionalism. To add insult to injury, Anyvan's customer service team have been no better and displayed the same level of "Don't give a d*mn" attitude, consistent with their van personnel's. After reporting the incident and the damages to them, I had to follow the case up attentively in order to get any response. And guess what, so far nobody has cared to provide me with an update after my last email to customer service agent (called Thea) on 28 Aug 2024. Further, their so-called "Senior Customer Care Executive", named Abdu, who was meant to look after the insurance claim for the damages, has been eerily radio-silent since 12 Sep 2024. Suffice to say that I won't be using their service ever again, I'd like to ask those of you who (like me) are drawn to their positive feedback online to think twice before hitting the booking button!

BEWARE! My experience is that I got lured in by a quote that was significantly cheaper than competitors, based on an initial inventory that I supplied by email and was entered into the system by AnyVan staff. I didn't sweat this. My quotation went up by 60% (making it comfortably the most expensive of all quotes received) when I diligently finalised the inventory (added a number of items) because I wanted to avoid any issues on the day. I was flabbergasted that the quote moved so much but obviously was locked in at that point. In the end the job was done by two people and a small van (having originally agreed at least 3) who worked their socks off, and I felt fleeced. I strongly advise against using AnyVan, unless you are *absolutely certain* about your inventory when you get the initial quote. Do not take comfort from them telling you you can amend your inventory up to 48 hours before the job, you risk your price going up hugely. I should have trusted my first instincts! AnyVan are not a removals company, they are just a contracting outfit that sub contracts all jobs (and makes a large margin in the process).

Be very careful before using their service - Terrible exprience I booked their service online by thinking they are offering cheaper price than other companies and filled all the information they asked which was names of furniture to move and quantity. (no pictures or dimensions asked) When 2 guys turned up they loaded my mattress in van and then started saying they cannot take certain things because side drawers are too big and chest of drawers have too many drawers. I even proposed to guys that I can take drawers in my car and they can take the rest of table and help them to move side drawers. They refused and said it is company's policy and cannot take these items. After that they took some pictures of my furniture and told me they need to speak to their manager to see what can be done. They took almost one hour to speak to their manager and then a person from AnyVan called me to tell me the same thing. They cannot take these items becuase chest of drawers have too many drawers and side drawers are too big as these are to be considered mini chest of drawers. I am 100% sure I bought these from archers as side drawers. I was really annoyed and told them to take at least the rest of furniture which was only a bed and study desk left. They said now it is too late they cannot take anything becuase this whole thing took an hour. They are the one who decided to make this call to their manager waited for an hour to have an answer and then left without taking anything. The cherry on the cake: they charged me fully, said redund is not due, did not take one single item, left my mattress on the dirty floor outside my flat, not even inside where they picked it up from, I had to pay extra, more 50% of the initial booking fee, to reschedule for the following day otherwise i would lose all the money and had to book with another company and pay way more. Because of them we had to sleep on the floor because they refused to take anything, including our bed which they said was okay and they would take it and in the end they did not. One of the guys said to me they had 10 jobs to do on that day. Imagine how is it like to do 10 removals a day. Now it made sense to me how they do it. The way treated me probably they treat others as well. Cheater company.

I booked and paid for a van to collect my son's belongings and move them to university. He does not live with me, but I paid for the removal and then asked for the company to use my son's email and mobile to provide tracking. Fantastic customer care to this point when wishing to secure bookings. I gave an itinerary of items but as some was in storage I requested advice if the itinerary was different on the day of the move. I was reassured if the items were not 'wildly different' the driver would be fine. The driver was not fine. Excess items including two pillows incurred an extra charge of £63. Most of the extra items were placed inside the itemised laundry basket. My son felt pressured to accept the charge or leave the items on the road side as per contract. My card details had been stored as a recurring payment. I did not know this. No contact was made with me regarding this payment or consent and when I rang multiple times to query this charge after removal, due to it contradicting the customer service lady, they refused to talk to me about this without my sons permission. My son then incurred a £19 fine on my card for arriving 'late' to meet the driver. Sadly a tube and train and a sprint across an unknown city was not timely enough. My son did not know about this until he got a "I will be there in 20 min" call. My son explained this would not fit his timings as he was not on the platform. 7 mins cost me £19. There is a good side to this service but an ill informed customer service manager cost me £63. The fine was lacking in any empathy and a cynic could say it is a great way for the company to maximise profit belting along a road to ensure the client is late. Having money taken off my card without being allowed to discuss also raises concern. Be careful when booking to be mindful that the price you pay on the day is not necessarily your final price. I will never use the company again and customer care are extraordinarily rigid and unwilling to see any other perspective other than a price list. Hope this helps others.

This company is a total scam!!!! I hired this company to move a full furnished 5 bed home, first they were late, then 2 Romanian men turned up stinking of smoke, dirty hoodies on, hood up, didn’t look me in the eye when they came into my house, they refused to move half the things we had paid for, I called the office to complain, took me ages to get through to someone who could speak English, I asked them to tell me the names of the people who are in my house, they didn’t know who the people were, they don’t employ them, they are self employed, this company is like Uber for delivery company, anyways the second guy had no experience moving anything, he told me himself he was just there as a helper, anyways the tiny van wasn’t big enough so we had to wait half a day for another van to turn up, when I got to my knee house, they broke several items whilst carrying into my house, it was a complete disaster!!! The Romanians had no experience moving things and the fact the company had no idea who turned up to my house quite frankly scared me!! To boot my laptop is missing… I can only assume they have it and there’s nothing I can do about it!! Avoid at all costs!!!!

Where to start? I paid for a service which they did not provide, whilst travelling to my new property I spent the next 2.5 hours trying to get them to do what I asked. They didn't, it was escalated to a Customer Services Manager who broke all the rules of any complaints procedure - Listen to the customers grievances, understand and propose a plan of action - she didn't do any of these - in fact all she wanted to do was talk over us, despite me telling her to be quiet and listen to the customer. She would not escalate it any further, nor was she prepared to listen. Another point is that THESE ARE NOT A REMOVAL COMPANY - they are a tech company - just the same as JustEat, Deliveroo, Uber - they essentially get the business and then drive down the contractor costs with the removal men taking as much margin as possible and cutting corners on quality. They will also inflate the prices as they see fit and then try and re-sell you the same service which they did not do in the first place. There is one rule at this company - bleed the customer for as much as possible, no flexibility, no service and hope that they can pass the responsibility onto the removal men. Would I use them ever again? Absolutely never, would I recommend Anyvan to anyone? Absolutely not - in fact, every person I know who is looking to move will be made aware of this scam company. Front end, they are slick - back end they are utterly dreadful. If I could give less than 1* I would. Oh and by the way, thank you kindly for bringing my wife and child to tears through the service offered. Now is the time that I get onto my bank and reverse the charges as they offered no form of compensation.

Beware anyvan is a sheyster company they don't care who they send to you anyone can pick the job up and when your on your own they made me as a woman very vulnerable as I had no choice as I had to be out the house on that day paid £418 for a house removal and they sent 2 Young's boys one boy said that he had just finished college I didn't know what to do as I had to be out the house on the day but creata I think was the removals company they used the boys kept saying no worries no worries as there English wasn't good at all what was I to do my disabled friend has to help me as I was crying and stressed as I didn't know what to do they didn't know how to move they didn't know how to angle my £2000 settee and by the time they got it down the stairs the legs had broke off I was in state of panic but what could I do they also picked up my glass cooker hob with the lid and the hob nearly came clear off my friend who is disabled has to lift fridge washing machine, beds , whilst the other boy took a rest my friend practically did everything the older boy then said there wasn't enough room and there not allowed to do 2 trips I couldn't cope and my friend has to say she has paid for all the items to get removed the older boy said ok we will it was a complete disaster my back aches my friend has to go to doctor as he has hurt his arms and legs who is just out of hospital with blood clots but he just couldn't see me in the state I was in never never use this company especially if your a single woman as they take advantage I will be telling everyone I can and also going to watchdog and trading standards as I paid £418 for a unprofessional removal company it's not just that the first guys that came they said they wanted more money which I didn't have and then drove away when I called the company and complained they said I couldn't get a refund I had to pay more so by that point I was confused and paid more for them driving away and for them to send 2 boys to do the job I had to ask family for more money as I didn't want to lose the £217 I had already paid I was stuck when I called that day to complain they put me through to another department and they kept hanging up disgusting anyvan just want your money and more and then refuse to give you refund and when you do pay like me they sent 2 boys so it does show and prove they just use any tim dick and harry to do your removal I'm sick I feel robbed out my money and felt they took advantage and didn't care , all my neighbours witnessed these 2 young boys and a disabled guy trying to do my move the neighbours said they would help but there all old but was disgusted and I did pass your name anyvan about telling everyone who listened not to use this site as the site is false no one with a blue outfit came and no blankets to protect your stuff everything you do is charged ans your left at the hands of 2 strangers so there website is fake and the money I paid and my broken settee and cooker they don't care I asked for a refund and as I said they pass you about then hangup horrible horrible nightmare of a company stay away ⚠️

Shysters. Guess you get what you pay for? - they came up with the cheapest quote and they dished out the most cack-handed crew! Then they claim they are covered by the small print. A 'serious' removals company will charge/quote more - perhaps as much as double... but will more likely than not take care and make a real effort. The fact that the AnyVan crew spoke little English - in England, beggars belief... but sums up this outfit perfectly. AVOID ANYVAN.

Terrible experience. After filling out the online form correctly with all the details and paying for what I was asked, the day before the job ( after I contacted them to check if everything was ok) I have been told that actually the quote they gave me was incorrect and it was my fault that I didn’t double-check it. So they asked me an extra £164 to do what initially was a £74 job. I had no other choice than to cancel it and lose all my money. I had to move musical instruments for children who now won't get any.
