I ordered a 100L and a 200L Oak effect butts. 1. the 100L base would not fit together, out by about 0.5cm. I asked a neighbour to check this, and he agreed. However, because of a very slight flexibility, to save me the trauma of having to repack and return this large item, he used brute force to jam it together, which was successful - in the end. The join is therefore wider and more visible than it should be. Perhaps a more rigorous quality control could be instituted before despatch? 2. I was very pleased that the lids fitted tightly and were pegged down securely, to prevent them blowing off or letting mosquitoes lay their eggs in the water. However, the design of the lids, like a treacle tin lid, was such that I inserted them just like a treacle tin lid, in the absence of any instructions to the contrary. This meant that when it rained they filled with rain to a depth of 2.5 and 3.5 cms! A workman eventually thought perhaps they were upside down, and should go on like hats, which I feel sure will be correct when a workman comes to connect them to the downpipes. Could printed instructions on this be added to avoid such confusion?
