I asked that my unoccupied home insurance policy be cancelled on 13th March when tenants moved in. The refund should be £335 and should have been in by now. It’s not. I emailed, wrote and had no response. I phoned and was told it would be dealt with within 3 to 5 working days from last Tuesday (having phoned the Saturday before) which would have been this Monday. I wish I had stuck with my previous insurer, Churchill. I unfortunately also took out landlords insurance with Home Protect from 13 March when the tenants went in for another £303. So now I have to spend time presumably going through the complaints procedure.
