AnyVan: A Nightmare on Wheels - Avoid at All Costs!
Rating: 0 stars (if I could give negative stars, I would)
If you value your sanity, time, and belongings, stay far, far away from AnyVan. My experience with them was nothing short of a catastrophic disaster that left me questioning the very existence of professional standards in the transport industry.
From the moment I booked, it was clear that AnyVan's idea of "service" is a cruel joke. They promised a pick-up slot, then ghosted me entirely. When I finally got through to them after what felt like an eternity on hold, I was told to chase the driver myself - because apparently, that's what I'm paying them for!
The day of the move was a comedy of errors, minus the comedy. First, I was told the driver was in the hospital. Then, miraculously, the "sick" driver called to say his van was broken. The lies were so blatant, I half expected them to claim their dog ate my booking.
After hours of silence and ignored calls, they finally deigned to reschedule - for midnight! Yes, you read that right. MIDNIGHT. Because nothing says "professional service" like waking up an entire neighborhood in the dead of night.
The cherry on top of this disaster sundae? When I rightfully complained, they offered a laughable 10% refund. That's right, folks. AnyVan thinks that compensation for their utter incompetence, lies, and complete disregard for customer service is worth less than a cheap meal deal.
Their customer service is an oxymoron - there's no service, and they certainly don't care about customers. They're experts in buck-passing, excuse-making, and shoulder-shrugging, but when it comes to actually doing their job? Utterly clueless.
Save yourself the headache, the heartache, and the desire to scream into the void. You'd have better luck strapping your belongings to a herd of drunk donkeys than trusting AnyVan with your move. They're not just bad - they're impressively, innovatively terrible.
In conclusion, if you're considering using AnyVan, do yourself a favor: don't. You'd be better off attempting to move house using nothing but a skateboard and a bit of string. At least then, when everything inevitably goes wrong, you'll only have yourself to blame.
UPDATE: I'm now in the process of initiating a chargeback claim through my credit card company and exploring legal avenues to recoup my losses and seek proper compensation. The fact that I've had to resort to these measures speaks volumes about AnyVan's inability to resolve issues and take responsibility for their abysmal service. Potential customers, consider yourselves warned: using AnyVan may lead you down a path of financial and legal headaches on top of their already atrocious service.
