“I was given a set of two at least five years ago and still use them ALL the time. I just ordered a third so one will always be ready. My best tips: 1. After a run in hot weather, nothing beats a Gatorade slushie (or whatever electrolyte solution you like best). In theory too much salt might be a problem, but Ive tried a bunch and never had one fail to freeze. 2. Jumex juices make amazing slushies right out of the can. A slushie will be about 2/3 of a can, so I like to get a variety of flavors that go together. Its literally no effort and it makes great slush 100% of the time. 3. Chopped up fruit is really good in a slushie. For minimal effort, try scooping some out of those little snack cups (pineapple chunks, fruit cocktail, and mandarin orange slices are all good). You can add the fruit (and some of its juice) first and leave it in the freezer for 5-10 minutes if you want the fruit itself to be frozen. This is worth it if youre going to use a lot.
I have ONLY ONE criticism: I wish the outer plastic cups were stackable. They take up so much unnecessary cupboard space because of the foot design. But thats a super petty complaint; you can drop the cold cup in anything or just use a paper towel.”
