“If you're a fan of the zombicide series then this is a must have. Vastly improves on the original's rules and I particularly like the added complexity in zombie spawning. I often found it was easier to coast on lower XP in the original zombicide, looting up until you had good gear, then pushing on. In this version, I find that you don't get such luxuries, especially with the rush cards cropping up so frequently! A much needed urgency to the game! This is a luck based game and as such, you'll inevitably start adding house rules to suit your playing group. Whilst I'm not a fan of luck based games, I think it compliments zombicide well and adds to the theme that these aren't professionals, they're just survivors with a bit of skill that inevitably are chancing their luck a bit against a zombie horde. Biggest downside is storage space - I feel that it is particularly bad in this version as it is already so compact and there is simply no space for any of the pieces once punched out. There isn't a solution to this other than slotting parts wherever they might fit, or to store some parts outside of the box, which is a real shame given the overall cost.”
