Lovely game, loads of little details which really add to the experience. My only problem is there's a few cards which are significantly more useful than the others which feels unbalanced

This is one for the "deserves to be in every home and isn't Monopoly" pile. On presentation it may be a hard sell for your friends and family. The art direction reminds me of those Christmas presents received as a child from well meaning Aunts and Uncles with "Educational value", almost instantaneously resigned to the bookshelf in the presence of more exciting, more colourful and more weaponised toys. When cracking open this RSPB guidebook of a box, the quality of the manufacturing is evident in every detail. The rules, though requiring a good first read with a cup of tea, are actually every intuitive and explainable. The rulebook over-explains it a bit and being presented with the book, a second book to explain the first book and 4 (yes 4 for some reason) large cards with a preset first turn documented on it for all to follow is over-kill. The option of learning the rules via Youtube is also available. They really, really want you to learn this game. If the only thing I can find to nitpick about this game is the fact that it makes sure everyone understands how to play, then you should get the idea of how great it is. It is immaculately designed, polished and presented for everyone to enjoy, I cannot recommend this enough.

Heard it was awesome and now having played it, I can genuinely see why people love this game. On opening the box, there's a lot of pieces and I thought I'd need to be constantly checking the rules and that it would take a while to master, but it was actually easy to pick up and understand. The boards, artwork, cards are very high quality and even the storage provided (while playing and in box) is great - no need to rush and buy combatable storage options. I have a lot of board games and this is already a firm favourite as a 2 Players and I can't wait to try in larger numbers.

We love Wingspan. Easy enough to pick up fairly quickly but complicated enough to add play again and again. The game itself is well made and aesthetically very pleasing. Can see why it has been getting good reviews for as long as it has.

Brilliant game even when only 2 people are playing. Keeps all ages in the family entertained (from 10 years to 70 years). Highly recommended.

My partner and I absolutely adore this game and it's really charmed any friends we've played it with, although can be a bit complicated to get started with people who aren't so into board games. I would say while the pre-built rounds designed to help people learn can be useful initially learning, it is easier to teach other players by going through a few turns as the engine then becomes very self-explanatory, and the guides are wonderfully detailed for any confusion with card powers or challenge cards. All the components are really wonderful, very charming and detailed art and very colourful, and it's a lovely game to dedicate a relaxed long afternoon with, and the excitement of collecting the birds and the cute little egg tokens always gets everyone in a good mood. I think it manages to balance pleasant gameplay with a little competitiveness really well so it's always fun, and it's really been a gateway for me both into board games and some casual birdwatching, overall it has been really enriching and rekindled a lot of love for nature. I'm from the UK and very eagerly got the European expansion after a few months too see a few more familiar birds, but honestly I've been really delighted seeing the wonderful illustrations of birds I've also never heard of. A bonus is that it looks lovely and intriguing on your shelf, I really hope this to be a favourite with my family come the holidays.
