Played this last night with 5 others. A lovely game which has been spoiled by the expansion sets. Those more familiar with it than me all go for the "war option" and taking cards from their neighbour, either left or right. What!!! Not the best mechanism to ger player interaction which exists in the basic module. I recommend you get this and play it as it stands.

A truly great worker placement. Lots of different paths to victory. Will you be virtuous or a black market profiteer? There is a real spirit of fun to this game but keep your eyes open so you don’t have all your workers thrown into the jail!

A great worker placement game. I love the unique element of having all of your workers from the beginning and throughout the game they get taken away from you. This flip in traditional worker placement really makes for an interesting puzzle.

An excellent worker placement game, very clearly laid out so easy to pick up. A nice length of game (around 45minutes) for its complexity.

One of the best worker placement games out there! The mechanisms here are outstanding and the solo mode is a great addition!

A brilliant worker placement game, even better than Istanbul and up there with Concordia, with a really interesting 'immoral' way of gaining VPs. You can be a saint or a sinner (or a little bit of both!) Good medieval theme and at first I was not sure about the artwork on the board but the great artwork on the cards more than makes up for it. Plays well at 2player and 3player (haven't tried it with more). A really good buy.

Really fun. If you like Raiders of the North Sea, you will likely enjoy this too. It is relatively similar, but I found there was a lot more variety in this game. There is a lot more pressure on worrying about your own workers and where they are placed (this isn't an issue in Raiders, as you will know). You must also worry about your opponents workers, and counter their actions quickly to prevent them from hoarding resources, or taking actions. It is a very fun game, even for 2 players (which is how I played it), I really recommend it. Is a little complex to understand at first, but after one game, you get used to the strategy.
