Unmatched Robin Hood vs Bigfoot Reviews

In battle, there are no equals. Unmatched is a highly asymmetrical miniature fighting game for two or four players. (Note that this set is solely for two players, but it can be combined with other sets, which all serve up to four players.) Each hero is represented by a unique deck designed to evoke their style and legend. Tactical movement and no-luck combat resolution create a unique play experience that rewards expertise, but just when you've mastered one set, new heroes arrive to provide all new match-ups. Robin Hood vs. Bigfoot features the titular heroes. Robin Hood and his outlaws excel at ranged attacks and robbing from their opponents. Bigfoot and his pal, the Jackalope, crash through the forest for quick attacks before disappearing like a figment of the mind. Combat is resolved quickly by comparing attack and defense cards. However, each card's unique effects and a simple but deep timing system lead to interesting decisions each time. The game also features an updated version of the line-of-sight system from Tannhauser for ranged attacks and area effects. The game includes a double-sided board with two different battlefields, pre-washed miniatures for each hero, and custom life trackers that's brought to life with the stunning artwork of Oliver Barrett and the combined design teams of Restoration Games and Mondo Games.

With so many melee based characters in Unmatched it is really useful to have someone like Robin Hood who has a ranged attack. And Bigfoot's incredible power makes for a good melee. However these two together feels like an unfair fight with Robin Hood able to attack without getting close enough to be hit by Bigfoot. A great addition to the collection but not the best starter pack.

This is a neat little set with some fun match ups. Bigfoot's cards are particularly gorgeous, showing him in all his cryptid glory. The two work quite nicely against other Unmatched sets/characters but the small two-player map included is great for more compacted play. Overall, a real winner.

I only have the bigfoot v robin hood so far but I can see that this system is a winner. I have the main set on order and I can see myself hoovering up many of the expansions. One niggle with this particular set is that Bigfoot seems to have a distinct advantage over robin hood (the hooded man has yet to win a game). I mostly play with my nine-year old daughter who doesn't have any problem with the rules and has a great time.

Just too good, I already had the base set and so after one play immediately added this. I mean you get to play as big foot and smash everything in your path or go after your opponents with Robin at range and his merry men up close. Two great new charcaters ets and stunning components. This really should be a no brainer, if you're on the fence take it from me click add to basket now!

Oh my days! I played this last night and it is instantly on my top 10 list! what a great game! Love that its a standalone, coming with its own double sided board, but yet as an expansion can be played with other sets. The washed minis look brilliant and the counter sidekicks and card stock is really nice! Despite someone in my games group already owning this game... I will be purchasing it as well very soon!

Robin vs Bigfoot is pretty good as expansions go. Robin does feel a little like Medusa from the base set with the multiple sidekicks and ranged approach, but it’s nice to have another ranged option. Bigfoot is very mobile and powerful and fun to play and the components are excellent!
