“I can see why there had been a hype with this game. It offers a great puzzle and betting element feels exciting and keeps changing as the race goes on. Choosing what rewards to take always feels like a tough decision as everything feels good. My only criticism is I wish it was more simultaneous in order to make it a more energetic and speedy experience.”

“The rules for this game are pretty straight forward, turns are snappy and the game doesn't take too long to get to grips with. However, at max player count it does take a while to get through, despite its simplicity. Having played at both 2 player and 8 player, and enjoying both group sizes, I feel it'll really shine at a medium sized group of 4-6.”

“Loved this game when we played it with a friend and his wife on a game night. Nice and straightforward to pick up. A good bit of variety present too. My 8 and 11 year olds loved it and could play it without too much guidance. The game plays up to 8 and works at all player counts. Loved it so much I bought it for a friend too.”

“So much fun and shenanigans going on here. Push horses forward and back, everyone round the table braying for position. It gets everyone excited, best with more players. Love this game, its so good!! Best horse racing game around!”

“Excellent game. Played it solo and all the way up to 8 people. The tension is always there. The ability to manipulate the outcome of the race is so clever, and everyone I’ve taught it to smiles at that part in particular. With most roll and writes you are only focused on your own board with very minimal interaction, and that’s ok, but with Long Shot you are paying attention to the race board and to other people’s actions because it all changes what you might do for your turn. Brilliant game. Highly recommend.”
