Welcome to the most well-known geisha street in the old capital, Hanamikoji. Geisha — the graceful women elegantly mastering in art, music, dance, and a variety of artistic performances after years of training — are greatly respected and adored. Geisha may be translated to "artist" and they dance, sing and entertain everyone. In Hanamikoji, two players compete to earn the favors of the seven geisha masters by collecting the performance items with which they excel. With careful speculation and sometimes a few bold moves, you may earn the essential items by giving away the less critical ones. Can you outsmart your opponent and win the most favors of the geisha?

“A very tense two player battle with beautiful art and cards. Both players have a very small number of actions but it is what you do with these options that count. A brilliant, quick and lovely 1-player game.”

“Beautiful and exciting game. I need to think meanwhile it is not difficult for 11 year old and it is really exciting for children and adults! I defenitly recommend it! It is in small box that you can take with you everywhere and receive real pleasure!”

“Hanamikoji is a 2 player card game where you try to win the favour of Geisha's. Over the course of the game you will either win by getting to 11 points or by winning the favour of 4 Geisha's. You will only be able to do 4 actions over the course of a turn. These 4 actions have to be planned carefully if you want to win. Despite being simple, Hanamikoji packs a punch as you have to guess what your opponent will do. If you play your hand too eagerly they may guess your move and counter act it. This card game reminds me a bit of chess as you are locked into a strategical turn taking affair! The game has a short runtime and you'll find yourself asking for a rematch. The artwork is beautiful and stunning to look at. I hope the expansion to this game gets easier to find as it does cry out for a little bit more variation.”

“Such a brilliant tense two player only game. A real tug of war over the points. You wouldn't think it was possible to make a game this clever with just 4 possible actions per turn. The art style is beautiful and the cards are of a good quality. Highly recommended for anyone that likes to play two player only head to head games.”

“So much depth to so few rules. A great two player I split you choose set collection/area control. Plays in less than 15 minutes but is so much fun.”
