“A great expansion to Dune Imperium that adds new cards, Dreadnoughts and Tech tiles. It adds enough to Dune Imperium to give players new things to think about and new avenues for victory. Plus the added bonus of a mega game that last a bit longer, win-win!”

“TL;DR : this expansion is awesome, buy it. Dune Imperium is easily one of the best games I've ever played, and Rise of Ix adds a whole new dimension to that game. This expansion has everything: new mechanisms that open up new choices and strategies (discard/trash card effects instead of reveal effects), new components (dreadnoughts & tech cards), new factions and new board spaces. Great value for money imo. This expansion does not add to the game's length : there are no new phases, the gameplay is exactly the same, it just gives you more choices. Which to me is what this game is about: doing the best you can in a very short time, a large decision space but only 2 to 3 turns, with what little resources you have. This to me is important, I feel it's a lot harder to enhance gameplay this much without adding a lot of new gameplay elements and making the game longer. Which they could have but they managed to stay true to the spirit of the game, and keep in line with the theme. I don't think I'll be going back to playing the base game without the expansion now, it's just too good!”
