ColourbrainBig Potato Games are one of the best publishers for unique party games. Whether it is rhyming your way through puzzles in Obama Llama, wearing the tin foil hat of physic blocking in Head Hackers, or following the cow crowd in Herd Mentality, they always have a trick up their sleeves.Colourbrain aims to be the quiz for those who aren’t good at quizzes. It does this by handing you all the answer cards in the form of 11 colour cards. Helpfully these are coloured and written on so that there is no debate about what colour a card is. A question card will be drawn and it’s your job to answer with the relevant colour cards. For example you might be asked about the colours of the power rangers and you’d answer with the correct cards. You’d also hope that some of the other players get it wrong because you score a point for each other player that gets the answer wrong! Each player of team also gets a power card to use, when they are losing to severely limit the leading teams options and give them a chance to catch up. Because the questions are greatly varied across different themes and categories every player feels involved and has a good chance to compete.Colourbrain can be played individually or in teams, and is perfect for those large family gatherings. It has also now seen a few themed sets released including the surprisingly challenging Disney edition! Big Potato have done it again - this one is a keeper. A really unique game which makes you think in a very different way. At first the idea of trying to remember things by their colours feels impossible but it’s always surprising how much you do remember. I just only wish there were more cards in the base box.

An excellent family board game. The mix of questions meant that everyone could join in whether 10 or 50!

I'd been looking at this game for a while as it looked different. So purchased it when doing an event for work. It didn't disappoint. As we were doing over webex (zoom like) it was nice there are video call instructions in the box as well. The game comes well presented in the box and I like how the box is designed to actually hold the cards rather than them being allowed to come loose while not playing. Has a pencil and score pad in the box as well. 300 question cards and 4 sets of colour cards and some special cards as well. It was fun with a range of questions for all ages (although a couple of debatable answers). Definitely worth the sale price I paid. I'm hoping to get the Disney one as well.

A clever quiz of colours that almost anyone can play. It sounds like it is going to be easy but it is far from it with some of the questions. A good balance of difficulty across the questions. Unlike some quiz games it doesn't outstay it's welcome and comes with some fun bingo pens for keeping track of your score. My only complaint is, as with many Big Potato Games that the card quality is not the best, and if they could improve this it would be great.
