EXIT: The Game – Dead Man on the Orient Express is part of the third season of EXIT games. This very popular series of escape room games continues to deliver a huge variety of puzzles, bringing the escape room experience to your home in a small box.

With an innovative cipher system, the EXIT game series asks you to bring just a pen, some scissors and some paper to the table. Using a couple of decks of cards and a booklet of initial information, you’ll be led through a number of different puzzles. Unlike any of the previous games in the series, Dead Man on the Orient Express delivers a really strong story in addition to the brain teasers. Everything you learn during the game will be pieced together into a final murder mystery, providing a really satisfying ending with some great deduction elements.

Dead Man on the Orient Express provides a challenge for you and up to three other players and is rated as ‘hard’ – a medium difficulty amongst the other EXIT games. It’s definitely a great entry point into the series, delivering a great experience that would appeal to fans of escape rooms or murder mystery evenings.

“Fabulous theme from Exit who have once again produced a great little puzzle escape game. Not too difficult but certainly not easy this game brought over an hour of head-scratching fun. Highly recommended.”

“Looked great, until we realised that there was a major clue missing and a duplicate of another clue in its place. Had to watch someone (very tedious) on YouTube opening up the clue and pause it to read several times. Actually ruined the whole experience!”

“I played this with a few friends, and it was the second escape room style we'd tried, the first being an easier puzzle from the Escape the Room franchise. It was a serious step up in difficulty. We initially tried playing without hints, and after a couple of hours had to give in. That's not to say the challenge was unfair - many of the puzzles are interesting and clever. A few of them involve drawing on the actual game pieces in unique and surprising ways. The only particularly frustrating one was a puzzle that couldn't be solved with current information even though it looked solvable - we had to move on and realised later we'd gathered the crucial piece. But this game's key selling point is its murder mystery plotline. It's a fun setting, but requires a certain amount of reading up front about the various suspects. The final challenge is to piece together various visual clues that you've gathered over the course of the game to figure out what actually happened, who was lying, etc, which we totally failed to do. We started the game at 9pm and by 1130 we did not have the patience to piece together a mystery. DO NOT START THIS GAME AT 9PM. Give yourself the afternoon or early evening. Maybe then this final step might be fun?”

“Really good! Super hard and fun! My wife loves murder mysteries on TV so thought she would be an expert. I don't want to spoil the game, but after a fun filled 3 hours, we were spectacularly unsuccessful!!! Just bought another two to try our 'skills' at other games in the series!!!!!!”
