While Qwirkle is as simple as matching colours and shapes, it also requires tactical manoeuvres and well-planned strategy.
The game consists of 108 wooden tiles with six shapes in six colours.
Using the tiles, players score points by building lines that share a common attribute, either colour or shape.
Qwirkle is a quick game to learn, but youll soon discover that you need to think strategically in order to score the most points.

“Great game that's quick to pick up, excellent for taking to the pub or on holiday”

“This is such a fantastic family game. Satisfying play for adults and children from about 6+. Travel size is ample, though something half way between the travel and original piece size would be perfect. Only slight problem is seeing the difference between the orange and red colours in some low lights but not enough to detract from the game.”

“Hi yes .. we love Qwirkle but find the instructions lacking... our game looks nothing like the pictured one in the instructions but we are following the written instructions .. perfect pack for travelling though.”

“Like many people, I was initially hesitant about this game because I have one of the many types of colour blindness. When it first arrived I wasn't even able to separate the colours, particularly the blue and purple. However, I was able to purchase some 5.5mm white sticky letters from Ebay very cheaply and put them in the bottom right corner of every tile (just like the number on a scrabble tile). This made a world of difference and allows me to match by letter or shape instead of colour. This is such a simple yet incredibly fun game. My wife and I have played it many times and have had a great time doing so. We'll definitely be packing it whenever we go on holiday. It packs down to about half the size of the bag it comes in, so if you're strapped for room in your suitcase then you could obtain a smaller bag to put it in.”
