Hiya, The programme that I'm participating in is technique I.e twisted fingers, scales. If you put the time in you'll improve a thousand fold. I spend 30 45 mins on twisted fingers starting each session from the beginning, I'm thrilled at what I'm achieving Firstly, the closeness of my left hand fingers is to the fretboard how light my touch has become, been aware of relaxing my shoulders and breathing. My right hand picking has improved with minimum forward and back swing of the pick also that I'm using the tip rather than half of the pick ha ha, The pentatonic scales I follow the same course of practice. As Dan refers to other pentatonic I had to learn them and in the process in bringing them up to speed. Reverting to the songs that I play acoustically I have noticed a distinct improvement in my timing and also the ability to include riffs to fill and spice it up. I have learnt the ability to mix harmony and chords together. I have a long way to go but in 5 weeks the transformation is self evident. It has given me the extra motivation to go one better. One important thing I do is if I make a mistake I'll stop and start again and won't move forward till everything is executed without mistakes. I hope this gives you some idea. Without your input it won't happen the old saying of taking a horse to water but you can't make it drink comes to mind. You got to want to do it, everyday practice . William

It's been a pleasure going through YGA classes for the past few months. I've been playing guitar for the past ten years, with on and off periods, and more seriously for the past two years. Since a weekly teacher can be out of budget for some, I have mostly been learning from internet ressources. But it's still pretty hard to get everything I need to learn from videos, and I'm always looking for the best option for my level of playing and the style I want to master - these past few months, the blues has been my focus. Dan's blues classes have been exceptional for my journey, a lot clicked. I especially like how he takes the time to show us how to use the licks, rhythms, riffs, etc in other contexts. I think the most difficult thing to learn from videos is improvisation, and this is a huge step in the right direction. I've also tackled on players studies which I found really enjoyable and useful in reinforcing my blues knowledge and playing. Thanks to YGA for the experience so far!

I highly recommend the YGA courses for guitar development and training. YGA has a clear system of progress where I can log my daily practice time. And besides practice, there is also theory embedded in it. The video presentations are clear, colorful and from multiple angles. There is also a play-along moving score which can be set at different speeds. And there is also an online community forum which is very supportive. The teachers are very professional with a very high skill level and great teaching skills. Overall, the course is a fabulous way to upgrade your playing!

I've tried a couple of different guitar subscriptions, none have been bad but I like YGA the best. Dan's not up himself, he's great at explaining stuff and the lessons go at a good pace. My custombuilt Pathway suits me very well, I really like the player studies and sound slice files. You can learn Another brick in the wall from multiple youtube videos but with Another plank in the fence you get a whole new set of similar licks and you learn better how the solo works by having 2 to compare. Same with all the songs in the player studies.

I joined a couple of months ago and the academy is further motivating me to study guitar. The path, the lessons and the platform are great, and £10 a month if you decide to go for a paid subscription is nothing. There is a lively community on Discord if you like to engage in any type of discussions around the topic with other students/teachers, and although I’m not particularly into socials, I found some nice stuff, e.g. the quick leak section. Apart from my personal objectives, I believe everyone interested in guitar can get value from YGA. Have fun!

YGA Club is a great way to learn new things on the guitar. There is material in all major genres for newbies to advanced players. The forum is enthusiastic and informative and the lessons teach technique, theory and musicality. The YGA Club is very personalized and responsive to member comments. I have courses from many of the other online guitar education providers and its courses are equal to or better than most and also an excellent value. You can also take advantage of the reasonably priced private lessons. Highly recommended.

Been playing guitar for 3 years this is the best course I've found. Other courses just teach techniques and leave you with that. This platform is nicely split to specific courses, specific topics and then lessons in each course give you that feeling that you get gradually better. I don't need to look for another course, now the only thing that limits my progress is time I put in.
