“I really like the YGA Club platform for learning how to play Blues. The lessons and courses build up in a very logical manner and are also very fun. Dan is a fantastic instructor and it always feels like he's doing his best to get the material across. That's not to say that it's easy work. It's hard work often. But it's manageable pieces of hard work vs. a steep impasse.”
“The content is great and is professionally put together - I especially like the play-along tab. The lessons cover a wide range of topics and new stuff keeps being added. As well as working through the lessons on your own at your own pace, you can participate in the forum and take part in live webinars with members of the YGA Team. If you are looking for structured support to keep you focused on your goals, then I would highly recommend the YGA Club.”
“YGA Club has been the best way I've found at learning guitar online. I have subscribed to other courses but have found some of them either too advanced, or giving you so much theory but no explanation of what to do with it after learning it. With YGA all of the courses are broken down into manageable sections, so that you are not overwhelmed with too much to absorb all at once. There are so many styles of lessons to choose from, and I can jump around and choose what I want to learn for the day. I highly recommend this above anything else that I have tried in the past.”
“I have been studying electric guitar for a couple of years now. I discovered the YGA club by chance while searching the Internet for online courses focusing on funk guitar. One thing that caught my attention about YGA is its very focused, high-quality catalogue of courses, which makes it easy to find exactly what a student may be looking for. To me, this is a very strong point compared with other online platforms that I have also used, which provide such a large number of guitar courses that may make you feel overwhelmed (this was my personal impression, at least).
In addition, there are several other strong aspects that I have found very useful: the personal learning path, the player studies (which I found awesome), the possibility to receive feedback through the Discord channel (e.g. through videos), and the community built around it. To me, it has been a sort of fresh air over the tons of material that can be found on the Internet to learn (and sometimes frustrate) guitar students.”
“I started playing guitar on and off as kid, and never stuck with it. Im 32 now and I stumbled across a "30 Day guitar Challenge" that was nothing like I've ever seen before. Other YouTube videos show you chords or songs or licks. But.... as a seasoned beginner from years of wasteful videos , Dan brought something to the table that I still haven't seen anywhere else. An actual well planned program! It was crazy how you learn a couple of chords and strum patterns that lead up to a song ! As far as the website goes .... 100% worth the subscription. You can re watch the videos till your blue in the face or... subscribe and make your life easier ! They have a path specific to you and level. You can download the songs and backing tracks that was produced for YOU. I mean Come on!! It's well worth price!. If your from the U.S and not sure what £9.99 is in us dollars ive got you covered . It's... It doesn't matter because it's worth it! It's less that a netflix subscription. Once again, Thank you Dan for making me finally pull my big boy panties on and taking me on this journey and please keep up the great work .
Your Texas student
Miguel.”
“Trying to learn guitar as an older guy in my 60s, I don’t have time to waste .
I combed YouTube and evaluated a number of popular online instruction sites. I am so thankful www.YourGuitarAcademy.com came up on my feed. I took the 30-challenge and learned SO MUCH MORE in just the first couple weeks than literally months of random YouTube lessons. I was definitely hooked and signed up immediately. Everything on the YGA site is presented in an understandable and fun way. I am learning a whole lot more than just open chords and strum patterns. Dan and his team give fantastic instruction for all sorts of Guitar Skills and Player Studies, there’s an excellent Theory Lab, Challenges, and ‘Guitar Gym’ workouts. In a couple of short months I am already understanding and moving around the fretboard so much better than I ever thought possible. I actually purchased an acoustic and an electric guitar to take advantage of all the varied and excellent instruction they provide.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”
“Hi guys!
It's great fun to learn with you and your videos (2 years for free via youtube & since January 2023 as a member).
I'm age 42 and a routined guitarist for 20 years and was playing in a band for 15 years (rock, pop, funk, reggae).
Your deep understanding of theory and how to teach it is awesome, I learned a lot from you, that I haven't learned back in the years as a teenager with a professional teacher at music school.
I love the player studies (John Mayer, SRV, May and Clapton...) and the CAGED System (really never heard of it before). As I said, also theory can be fun.
All in all I learned incredibly much from your vidz and the club on discord is great fun.
Although I hate the internet abos & merch, I must admit: "YGA is each euro worth ;-)". That is why i registered and wanted to support your great work.
Greetings from Austria

“I can't speak highly enough about this guitar course I absolutely love it and since stumbling upon it on YouTube just before Xmas I've been practicing everyday for an hour or even more sometimes. I'm 53 and started playing in late 1987 but after a few months I gave up becoming very frustrated with not much progress. I couldn't wait to join up and get all the added extras that come with it and believe me people you're not just a number. Dan and the team really appreciate you and value your input, I know because I even had a personal video email reply today from Dan himself, bless ya mate and thank you for sorting my pathway out. All the best John”
