“Good: The adjust ability is great. Looks great. Opens and closes easy. Not good: The clasp is heavy. I have a V1, and suspect the V2 is somewhat lighter, but given it's 10% smaller, I'd expect 10% or less weight reduction. I do think the designers need to figure a lighter option for the clasp. I feel this design is, in general, better than a NATO design.”

“I purchased a piecemealed package of one octopod buckle, two straps with stretch, and one strap without stretch. The best part about this Octopod Buckle is that it is SUPER COOL. I love cleverly designed mechanical things, and this thing is certainly a clever design. So far I have only worn the strap with stretch on the octopod buckle and they are a very comfortable combination. The installation/weaving of the strap through the buckle is not difficult. It is not an excercise I would want to go through daily, but I am not a change my watch strap every day kind of guy so for me it is not an issue. The buckle is comfortable, it does not dig into the skin at all. It is a good-looking buckle and does a great job of keeping the head of my 41mm watch centered on the top of the wrist. My wrist is 7" and I have no problem with the size of the buckle, wrist sizes much smaller would have no trouble fitting the buckle. The push-to-snap-closed mechanism has become smoother with time, it was never difficult, but I can tell wearing it in has helped. So nice to have a more refined buckle available for folks who like straps. I was a 3 ring zulu guy before this, I don't think I am going back. I hope to see more cool products from these guys in the future. The OctoPod Buckle is a Home Run.”

“I just received my OctoPod strap and I'm very pleased. The design solves several issues I have with traditional strap design. By not fixing the watch in a certain position in relation to the clasp, you are able to balance the watch and clasp on your wrist regardless of your wrist size. That said adjusting the strap does involve some effort and experimentation, and is not something you're likely to change once set, but it's not a huge issue. The clasp is heavy, and I expect that might put someone off, but otherwise I have no issues.”

“I picked up this buckle and strap combo because traditional NATO straps don’t really appeal to me. Once everything was set up it was very comfortable and easy to wear. However it isn’t exactly the smoothest procedure, the tolerances are very tight so some people will probably have difficulty swapping their new straps. Lastly the buckle it finicky, once it clicks closed it does stay locked but if you don’t feel that pop it’s going to stay undone. I have heard that other people have had a similar issue. My personal product does encounter this issue periodically. Don’t mistake my gripe with dissatisfaction I really love this system and it’s incredibly comfortable once it’s on. I just hope Zuludiver can address the locking system in future models.”
