“Over the years I have used many different types of both paper and digital journals. In my experience, the paper journal best suits my needs. While I can type much faster than I can write by hand, I find that when I compose with pen and paper I slow down, write more thoughtfully, and simply enjoy the tactile sensation of a good fountain pen coursing over quality paper. The A5 Dot Grid Journal feels like it was designed just for me. My journaling is a combination of traditional journaling and a commonplace book. It is in part a Stoic journal, part diary, as well as a collection of quotes from books, newspapers, magazines, thoughts on the same, and the occasional image of interest pasted in. The thickness of the paper and dot grid pattern are the perfect format for this type of journal.”
“Brought for my daughter as her old one was cheap and had thin pages. This product is amazing. No bleed thicker pages and good layout. Cover Feels lovely to touch. Folded card to plan pages is lovely touch. Will buy again and again.”
“I've never been satisfied with commercially available planners for work. Mainly, the format did not allow for taking adequate notes. So, I had to carry my planner AND my notebook to meetings. After reading Ryder Carroll's excellent book on Bullet Journaling I decided to use the Bullet Journal principles and design my own planner. EXCELLENT! However, my "MS" journals did not stand up well to my preferred gel pens. No bleed-through, but severe ghosting. Using both sides of the page was futile (using one side was wasteful). I found Yop and Tom while Googleing for information on the weight specs for "MS" pages. Seeing that Y&T was much thicker, I took the plunge. The Y&P journal is beautiful! The paper is thick and completely eliminates ghosting. The ink flows smoothly and does not smear. These are wonderful. Having the pages pre-numbered is fantastic as I keep a detailed index. I cannot think of a single negative thing to say.
I'm giving my unused "MS" and "LEC" journals to friends and ordering more of the Yop and Tom.”
“This journal functions basically the same as other boutique competitors for a much lower price – plus I have not found a single other journal of this quality that has the marked center points on the page, which is a HUGE game changer. My only complaint is the limited color and icon options; I don't love any of the designs and I wish the triangle icon for the "goal planner" was available for the regular dot grid. This will be my second year using it though and I think it's great.”
