YES ans NO (for everyting Yes, but for the rainprotection No):
Everything made me happy, except one issue I'm explaining below:
Excellent service, reasonable price.
Very pleased, initially, most satisfied about all specifications (quality, size, wearing confort, etc.)
BUT:
"100% heavy-weight waxed cotton, making this jacket shower-proof", yes but the waxing is rather light.
As I noticed it's indeed showerproof but not for long, the sleeves became wet inside after ony a few (admitted) heavy showers.
Very surprised, I asked W&H for advice and reply was to simply rewax my coat.
The cheapest professionnal rewaxing has a cost of more than 70 €.
For a price of 103 € this seems disproportionate to me.
Unless I received by accident or bad luck a poorly waxed coat (what I'm hoping) my advice is to buy the Midland Cape if you plan to go under real rain.”
“I love this. It's super simple and functional. Comes down to about knee height. Back can open for things like vehicle or horse riding. No padding so design to be worn with a base lay and maybe two layers on colder days. But its totally as expected and I use it for target shooting on wet days and log dog walking.”
