Refugee from Smartthings here. Does the job, slightly less ‘transparent’ UI, but worth the effort to learn. User community is very active and responsive.

This is a good bit of kit. It's a pretty easy upgrade from SmartThings and you get a better programming interface, much better logging and most importantly your lights still work when your internet doesn't! (or when Samsung's platform doesn't). Definitely recommend this, great community and loads of supported devices.

Migrating from a Fibaro Home Centre 2, so far I've found the HE more inituitive to use than the HC2. One of the main reasons for moving was Zigbee AND z wave compatibility. The web pages/app aren't as pretty as Fibaro but they're easy to use & work well. I haven't encountered any problems so far. Looks like a fantastically active support community too.

I’m a relative novice, but interested participant in all things home automation. This product is awesome - it provides the user with a flexible number of entry points relative to their experience - I have already learnt a great deal from the vibrant community - a great resource that could transform a novice into an expert should they desire. Couldn’t recommend more.

Apart from an initial hiccup where the box froze during a firmware update, setup was easy. The user interface is a bit basic and the dashboard(s), out of the box, limited at the moment e.g. you can't setup a simple switch (Aeotec smart switch 6) and have a single tile for that switch which controls the switch as well as displaying the sensor information e.g. voltage, current and power usage. The only way I could do this was to create a dashboard with 4 tiles for each switch. Hopefully, this situation will improve in the future. Allowing users to create their own device drivers would be a great addition. The main selling point for me is the local control (no cloud access needed) with the associated instantaneous switching that this provides.

I wanted home hub that was versatile and yet not over complicated somewhere between home assistant and smarthings within a hour I was up and running slowly adding to the system as I go there is plenty of support online well impressed

Great home automation had no problems. Easy enough to set up. Not as refined as some visually but runs things as it should. Lots of online help from the Hubitat community.

I bought this mainly to act as a bridge between the odd Z wave devices around the house including a smart lock and Apple HomeKit via Homebridge. I have to say I was not expecting the actual level of functionality this little hub actually offers. I’ve been able to take automations to the next level using the various tools offered by Hubitat and was even able to make flic buttons work in ways not possible beforehand. Definitely a learning curve to it but I would strongly recommend to take the time investment. Would 100% recommend anyone serious about smart home a hubitat hub, especially over Samsung smartthings
