“I was recommended to get one of these by our electrician as we have a lot of smart tech on our home and so it was time to get a dedicated hub.
This option seemed the best as it covered Zigbee and Zwave and Wifi
Almost all of the items we have do not work with this hub however. Some will work but you still have to set up using the native app and then basically add a shortcut into the App. Our Meross Plugs were an example of this.
So I still have to use SmartLift for some Lights, Tuyasmart for others, and 3 different apps for different WIFI Cameras (2 use CloudEdge, One is Adorcam and another is littlelf). Trying to like these aps with Smart-things has not worked as the products being controlled are not compatible.
I had hoped it would all be under one app. I think if you are starting from scratch it would be better as then you can check if each product would work with Smart Things before you bought it.
If you already have various types in your house then like me this will probably not help you.
Ive been generous with the 3 stars as it is not really the fault of Smart things - I just have the wrong gear to work with it. I hope to get more compatible products in the future.”

The application and especially online experience (required to add custom smart apps and device handlers) could use a lot of polish, it requires some technical knowlege a lot of reading through forums to use.”
