I had 6 low wattage LEDs in my sitting room that after a period of time would start to flicker and go on and off. Fitted the by-pass, changed parameter and re-calibrated. All working perfectly now.

Seems Halogen bulbs are being phased out now, so maybe time to start switching over to LED bulbs. Bought some 5.1W Bayonet LED filament bulbs from Toolstation for my bedroom ceiling roses, without the bypass device the bulb flickered badly and I couldn't dim or turn it off. Ordered some bypass devices, fitted in the ceiling roses, just two wires connect across the Switched Live and Neutral wires to the bulb. Ran the calibration routine again on the Dimmer 2 module and all was well again. Bulbs dim with no flicker and work as they should.

I bought the Fibaro dimmer 2 and I had a lot of compatibility issues, then I ordered the Bypass, and everything works perfectly. Installation couldn't be simpler, got up and running in 1 min. In my opinion it is overpriced. Overall am very happy. (Especially since I was very disappointed by the dimmer)

These passive devices increase the load on your Fibaro or other lighting control system circuit output to make sure the minimum load requirements are met. It is similar to adding a 50W lightbulb to the circuit so there is an energy cost to using them but necessary if your new LEDs don't dim properly.

These devices are small and appear to do what they say on the tin. The only problem I have had is with pairing which you only need to do once hopefully. Using a Vera Plus as gateway and have nearly given up on the device as the pairing has repeatedly failed. Just about to give up when pairing succeeded (after an hour or so!). It went through calibration and sorted itself out with no problems whatsoever. Have non dimmable leds so cannot comment on dimming but they have worked without problem for over two weeks.

I had fitted to LED dimmable spot lights in bedroom then calibrated. I found that one was still very faintly on. I then realized the fittings were about 5.5 watts each under the 20 watts needed for the Dimmer 2, i then fitted the Bypass 2 and re-calibrated and the LED is now working as it should.

Previously my LED bulbs connected to Fibaro Dimmer 2 were still glowing even when the dimmer was 'off'. After installing this bypass it went crazy and would not calibrate properly, flashing on and off. I edited the device driver in Smartthings API to set parameter 13 to value 2 and forced recalibration. This fixed the issue and it now works properly.

I purchased these to fix a number of issues I am experiencing with Fibaro Dimmer 2s. Unfortunately, this doesn't fix all of them. I have a pair of LED downlighters which still flicker when dimmed, even with the bypass installed. They seem to work well with compact fluorescent bulbs, however.
