“So I bought one of these, I watched the video and I thought this looked awesome.
In my experience it does not work as expected. I end up pressing and holding it multiple times before it finally responds and performs the programmed scene.
I have this working with the Fibaro HC2 controlled, so it cannot be a compatibility issue.
My advice: steer clear of this and get a Z-Wave Remotec Scene Master instead you'll also save a few quid too.”
“Looks lovely and feels well built.
Included on Vera and managed to get the single press to work correctly.
Vera tech support claim Fibaro are using a non standard profile on the device therefore they need to carry out testing and work on compatibility with it to allow the other functions (long press, 2 presses etc).
I ultimately only bought it as it's the only aesthetic and reasonably discrete scene controller and I needed something turn on a virtual switch on Vera in my bathroom.
This it does so it fits the bill.
Had there been lower cost options in this segment I'd never have paid £40 for a single button press however.”
“I order this for my HCL to control bedside lamps and the spot lights in our bedroom. It is controlling two Aeon Labs SS6 and a Fibaro dimmer 2. Easy inclusion as always and setting up the scenes for the required clicks is easy. Not sure why the other review commented that it was hard to press as my 3 and 5 year olds can use it with ease. Will be buying more.”
“I saw this product online and purchased it with excitement! In fact when it arrived, it looked really good, however that was where my praise stopped.
Unfortunately, Fibaro has created a button which needs a huge amount of force to actually trigger the microswitch inside. This can be remedied by sanding down the stump of the inner shaft of the button, however you'd not expect to have to do this from a high end product.
Secondly, this button isn't compatible with Vera. Hopefully this will be sorted out soon and the firmware will be upgraded to support it.
I look forward to using this product when the teething problems have been sorted...”
