“Massively unimpressed. Bought one (bare board ones) of these ages ago and the range was appalling. Thought it might have improved - it hasn't.
In spite of being within 4 or 5 m of another Z-Wave device (Aeotech 6-in-1) and NOT hidden in a box/in the wall, just dangling free.
With a 12V power brick of it's own, it can't be contacted. Oh and the button is far too hard to press easily.
I've got a Fibaro flood sensor (for my sewer pump) that is easily 20m away from anything and that has no problems being contacted normally. So what HAVE they done...?”
“This device provides easy to use digital IO capabilities as well as enabling digital thermometers. Used to monitor the status of a Visonix alarm panel which has zero volt contacts as well as and the server room temperature. It's important to have a good quality power supply - I used a regulated DIN rail 24V supply which also feeds other equipment. Z-Wave interface is straightforward - I used "alarm events" to give status for logging and other actions.”
“I use this to control my garage door opener. It's wired up to a 24v power output on the opener it's self so no need for an external power adapter. A nice way to be able to control the garage door from my phone.”
