“I still like the Z-Wave Fibaro Wall Plug Gen5 - UK very much, good form factor, functionality is excellent as it supports all the load types I am likely to want to switch. Bonus, my last two units shipped by Vesternet were actually the revised design with a USB power socket on the side so ideal for running a Pi Zero W or similar. This revised device is not known to OpenZWave yet however is still usable under hass.io.
Still in a growing pains stage re Z-Wave but this is probably partly down to my choice of going my own way re controller however lack of being able to update Fibaro firmware aside I like the flexibility of this route (it also runs my Pi-Hole DNS and DHCP servers) and I get more bang per buck on the hardware side compared with the Fibaro controller offering the trade off being I am okay with handling my own software support issues. Growing pains because some aspects are obviously evolving in Home Assistant / hass.io.”
