“After struggeling with the "Automation" aspect for a year i moved on to a raspberry PI running home assistant and connected the Vera To it. Now 1 further year on of never interactinf with the vera its failed on me, i'm unable to update it due to "insuffecicent space on device" i'm also unable to factory reset due to the same reason and is currently in a reboot loop. Ive now opted for a usb Z-Wave to connect to the HomeAssistant and so far zero issues.
For the £99 i spent on the device compared to the £60 total on HomeAssistant I'm 100% unable to recommend this device”
“Before i even was able to get through the setup wizard I had to spend 40 minutes on the phone with support where they re-flashed the latest version (which was corrupt out of the box).
Setup after this was relatively painless, however the general usability is of a low standard, slow and buggy. Every other day i wake up to find that the controller has lost all of my configuration (names of devices, scenes etc etc). Luckily i don't have many devices, however it makes me a little reluctant to spend a lot of time and investment on buy more and creating a more complex HA setup. :-(”
“Works most of the time, 1st unit failed after warranty just ran out, second unit working but doesn’t connect well with remotec scene controlller. The Vera is slow to respond to commands despite numerous updates.”
“This is my second Vera Edge. The first one works at home, and this one began to work in my country house, a summer house.
Before buying, I went over all possible options. Six months I read the Internet ... :) Alternatives for price and quality were not found.

“Product is good, support from Vesternet also good. 4 stars as you do need to be competent with IT to get the best out of this unit. Vera support is okay but they do need to read e-mails thoroughly before replying. Will be a great unit as I add extra devices to this controller. If you are worried then I am happy to recommend Vesternet for there support.”
“Slow, buggy, at times unresponsive and no way to set any password or local security. Have switched to HS3 and will never use a vera again. Steer clear if at all possible this is a flawed product.”
